Just bought the Revoltech Anguirus for $54.00 (that's with shipping) through Amazon.com. It'll be shipped next week.
I wanted to buy it together with Mothra, Gigan, and Rodan, but the price was a racket, so I'm spacing out my purchases of these.

I still think the proportions when it comes to the arms and legs on that Gigan are just painful. :(

I know. I tried ebay where I found it for $30.00 from a guy in Tokyo with a $16.00 fee for shipping, but they wouldn't ship to Guam, which pissed me off.
So I ended up paying $47.00 on Amazon plus shipping. I would complain, but I keep remembering that I've paid a lot more for a lot less in the past.

Y'know, I've spent a lot of time posing my Revolt Gigan, and a lot of the awkward things you see in photos has to do with the angle, pose, etc. Do I think it's perfect? No, but putting the figure in a dynamic pose is the whole point and they definitely look a little awkward in a neutral, bland stance. Hmm, see, this is a little better, right?

Really, my only gripe with him is that his legs are too skinny. If they were a little thicker, he'd be pretty dead-on.

$54??? I concur, even w/ shipping, that's too much.

Although, the sources do seem to be drying up. HLJ( where I got mine ) has had Anguirus listed as 'backordered' for quite a while now.

^ That was the first place I considered ordering from since I ordered all of my SHMonsterArts and other Revoltech figures from there, but yeah, when I discovered that it's on backorder, I had to go to Amazon. I'm going to order my Rodan from Big Bad Toy Store since they have it for around $30.00 there.

But, the Revoltech prices (at least for the kaiju figures) seem to be rising almost everywhere I go. I regret not buying them when they first came out and were around $25.00. After Anguirus, I intend to only get Mothra, Gigan, and Rodan (I'm not interested in Baragon nor Mogera). The Maser Tank is also quite interesting and if I find one at a decent price I'll consider ordering that as well.

I got the Toho kaiju for $32 a piece with $7 S&H.

Came to about $167 in total, but so worth it.

^ I will suffer no bashing of Starship Troopers!!!!

Edit: I thought they were basing that sculpt on the movie version, but sweet mother of god! They're actually making something that would be relatively faithful to the novel!

On a more relevant topic, for anyone who hasn't seen my other post, I have received the Revoltech Alien Queen. She's an absolute knockout, and may be the best figure in the line, in my personal opinion.

Jumping to that island chain known as Conclusions.............

I like Starship Troopers fine, I even own a copy. I like the ALIEN movies too.

But it is not kaiju! Not even close. And that is what I want from Revoltech! The only exceptions I've made are the JP2 T-Rex( 'cuz it is a dinosaur ), & the Harryhausen Skeleton Warrior( 'cuz it's Harryhausen, duh! ). In Japanese Toy Land there are certainly no shortage of robotic suits, but that's not what I want from the Sci-Fi Revoltech line.

^The Starship Troopers anime from the late 80's. Google it, it's pretty cool.

Im not too familiar with Revoltech but are they planning anymore Godzilla/Gamera stuff?

Are they going to do anything with the Avengers, Amazing Spider-man or TDKR as well?

Godzilla is unlikely, considering S.H.Monsterarts.

I think Gamera is certainly still possible, but no new news (ha, ha) has been released, as far as I know.

I'm considering on getting Legion and Gyaos sometime soon. I don't intend to buy any of the Gameras (at least the 96, and 97 version). I want to hold off until they (hopefully) release Gamera '99 and Iris.
