He died in episode III too, but it wasn't on screen, his death was in the novel and the comic.

well they showed his dead body after Anakin killed all the separists. You can see it in the conference room.

Yeah, but they didn't show his death, but they have a picture of Wat falling and Anakin just standing in front of him after he stabed him.

omgitsgodzilla-For the most part, I agree with your points on EP 1, except for a couple of things. Jar Jar never bothered me that much personally, but I do understand why he bugs people so much. I don't quite get why you feel the humor in the pod race sequence seemed so out of place. It's not like Star Wars was ever devoid of humor. It worked just fine.

I personally can't stand Jar Jar. He serves little purpose other than a bad attempt at comic relief, and his speech is so irritating. And there was humor in the originals, true, but it was generally far more intelligent than what you saw in Episode I. It focused on the relationships between the characters and brought out important character traits - it had a purpose and it wasn't handled in nearly as goofy a way. It could be serious and funny at the same time. Most of what's in Episode I is stuff like "Haha, Jar Jar is so clumsy!" or "Haha, that alien is cartoonish and has a weird voice!" or "Haha, Boss Nass just did that weird gurgling spitting thing!" or "Haha, the weird pink space camel creature just farted at Jar Jar!" I know Star Wars has always been aimed partially at children, and as such features things designed to amuse them, but Episode I seems to be insulting their intelligence. It's my personal opinion that George Lucas lost his touch in between times, or maybe just stopped caring. The prequels have been panned by most fans and critics, and have only really served to make him richer. "If money is all that you love, then that's what you'll receive" indeed.

I wonder why they didn't show that scene, also in the novel, he gets his arms and head cut off.

well that sucks for my favorite to get killed off like that but really the only leaders i can say that weren't standing their going derp was Wat, Rune, and Poggel. Poggel atleast fought back but epically failed.

Well said man. I totally get where you're coming from. The humor was definitely a lot less...elementary, in the original three films.

Quite frankly, there are some movie characters that have annoyed far more, and are further detrimental to the films they're in, than Jar Jar Binks.
Every film should have at least one animal attack.

Yeah, he doesn't bother me the way he does most other people (I was a SW fan years before EPISODE I dropped, so it has nothing to do with nostalgia, or anything of the sort.), but I do get where people are coming from with the complaints. I do think the "racist" complaint is very overblown though.

From I remember reading that everything in the EU is canon? I remember reading years ago that they where going to bring back Maul in Attack of the Clones but the idea was later scrap. I'm personally glad that they never did.

... Well now I'm a little disappointed. Darth Maul is my favourite SW character. One thing the Prequels were missing was a consisting villain throughout the trilogy. (Sideous doesn't count.)

I also noticed Po Nudo's always behind Gunray until they all die, weird.

@GVZ. He's trying to tell us that he likes to look at Nute's backside or just likes to stand behind him or something.

I think I see Shu Mai, Po Nudo's Aqualish aide(an Aqualish is an alien like Po Nudo), and Rute Gunnay getting killed. Po Nudo, what a perv .

All those must be glimpses then, just wish they could atleast show all of them dieing. i mean they can still do the scene quickly but just atleast get a good look at each of them dieing.

I also see Passel Aregent's aide getting killed, Passel's the alien in the brown hood and brownish green skin and his aide is of the same species, but with an orange hood and green skin, the aide gets stabed and Passel gets slashed, I know so much about Star Wars :) Also you can see a lot of other Separtists getting killed if you look close and see the video on YouTube and watch ROTS a lot.
