Looks like they have a full body pic of the Rodan up on the X-Plus blog. I think it looks great! http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/blog-rojiura/

Also, for anyone still interested, they have the 2012 WF 1973 Jet Jaguar/Godzilla 2pk still orderable. It must not be as popular as the Gargantuas set they released during the summer. There were 30 more of those than the JJ/God 2pk and they sold out in 30 minutes. These have to have been up since 6AM this morning my time and they're still available and there are only 50 of them!

Nice. I think Manda 63 and Rodan 64 are GREAT monster selections for the March/April period. Definitely going to order Rodan when it goes up for sale, no question.

Also in the blog, looks like they're releasing a 25cm MechaGodzilla 74.

After Rodan, I'm guessing the next 30cm release will be Titanosaurus. Or maybe they'll completely surprise us with Varan.

That they are! http://skreeonk.com/2012/02/17/x-plus-to-release-new-rodan-mechagodzilla-jet-jaguar-and-godzilla-now-on-sale/

I'm loving the Rodan sculpt. The 64 version doesnt get nearly as much love as the original suit.

I was really surprised by how much I just love that Rodan sculpt. It has rekindled my love the guy, seriously. Very excited about this figure, and what's better, we get it in full 30cm scale! Very cool.

I'm guessing we'll be getting a Showa Imago Mothra soon. It will be 25cm scale, but in the same way Biollante was in the 25cm scale. Imago Mothra is massive compared to the 64 G. You know that new one meter G64 kit they just released? If you had a Mothra in scale with him, that would be a 16ft wingspan! At least that's what I got with the TK numbers. So I'm betting on a very big, very beautiful "25cm" Imago Mothra this year now that the 25cm G64 came out - another great figure, by the way.

GForever did a great post recently of his collection.

Check out the full thread, it's pretty neat. Sorry for the problems with the attachments. I have yet to upload the updated theme, so the CSS is still off. And the corrupt attachments... I really need to be a better admin...

Purchases from the X-Plus website must be shipped to an address in Japan, so unless you know someone the only other option is to use a 3rd-party such as Japantodoor.com. You'd still have to fumble through X-Plus' website to place the order, create an account at Japantodoor, have it shipped to JTD and then have them ship it to you for a fee of course. You may be able to save a little bit of money doing it yourself that way but it IS a headache. There is an old thread around here somewhere that explains the process. I'll see if I can find it. If I can, I'll update this post with it.

These are online retailers. They don't sell the Internet Exclusive pieces. Although, you can order the non-exclusives through them when they come out. I use HobbySearch personally.
otacute.com
hobbylink japan
hobbysearch

3rd Party Proxy Service:
Japantodoor
They will: buy, bid, sell (collect, store, and forward) items to you. Beware, their fees can be very steep for things like bidding on your behalf on Japan's auction sites. However, they are reasonable when it comes to simply forwarding a package to you.

What you'd want to do is set-up an account at Japantodoor, which assigns a fake japanese address to you. You use this address to have X-Plus ship your figure to. Then, for a fee, JTD will forward the package to you. Follow the directions because it's multi-step. You have to inform them that the package will be arriving to your "address" and you can't do it too far in advance (no more than 2-3 weeks of the item's arrival).

I'd be happy to discuss with you further in a PM if you'd like, since I've been through the process a couple of times. I can try helping you fill out X-Plus' order form as well. Mine is prepopulated now. There's a trick in getting around the surname field, which I personally had trouble with for a time.

If you could post or PM me the "trick", it would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about using JapanToDoor or something similar for some of these X-Plus Internet exclusives if they are worth the trouble...speaking of which...

michaelprime93, if you go through the hassle of ordering through the X-Plus website and using a third party service like JapanToDoor, could you let us know how much it ends up costing you? So the figure is $221, but how much is:

-Shipping within Japan to the third party
-The third party fee
-Shipping to US from the third party to you
-Any customs / brokerage fees or other extra charges they sometimes charge at the border.

Thanks!

If it helps Qaenos, here were my two experiences using the forwarding service. I also used their bidding service on Yahoo! Japan. I won't do that again. The cost was outrageous.

They charged me $64 to forward the 1968 Gorosaurus to me. The cost of Goro himself was $276.94.

They charged me $104.57 to forward my Gargantuas set, which the cost of the set itself was $333.03.

There's an option to have them repack the contents. It's $8. I chose it on the Gargantuas set but not the Gorosaurus and honestly, I didn't notice a difference. Both items arrived well-packed and undamaged.

P.S. - I'll PM the "trick" to you. ;-)

Man I've been eyeing the X-Plus figures for a while, and good god they look fantastic.
Too bad though that I can't afford them, not even one. I'm not a serious enough collector to spend $200.00 minimum for just one figure, plus shipping and handling on top of that. I'll stick with MonsterArts for now.

I really appreciate, all the help Brad. But I dont think im willing to risk a high cost for the x-plus figures. Im going to just have to try getting the new ones that I like as they come out from sites like hobby search. Its amazing how difficult it is to be a x-plus fan. I only have godzilla and angurius 1955 black and white 25cm verisons, and the king ghidorah x-plus statue that i think really goes in scale with them, im thinking of getting gigan, then ill kinda have a godzilla vs. gigan thing going on even though the godzilla and angurius are not the correct suits.
