Its not like we ever had an explanation for the twins, where the skreeonk Kumonga went, Where and why all the monsters came from, or anything really. And now they're rebooting the series, so we'll never know! It was all pointless! Want me to open my mouth while you piss on my face, IDW?

When my article on the failings KOM is finshed, I'm submitting it to G-Fan. It is epic.

Granted KOM was bad, but its not like IDW has been treating us THAT bad. Gangsters and Goliths was epic and Legends has been gaining RAVE reviews.

^Yes I have to agree. IDW is not all bad, at least they want to redeem themsevles with a new Godzilla series. You could sorta say KOM was their beta run and when they saw what the fans where really looking for, it's time to release the 2.0 upgrade.

This last comic seemed kinda tacked on for a little extra cash. Had some of the earlier comics been a bit jucier, this never would have been necessary. Still, I liked it...I think.

Pretty much exactly as I felt.

I must insist: Was that Rodan's corpse (Or fainted body), or was it actually his shadow? Rodan is known for having some big damn stamina (And as pretty much everybody noticed, he didn't get as much from the fight as Godzilla and Battra), asuming the comic wanted to get that right.... or maybe it's just the artwork...

I felt that, clearly, that was Rodan's shadow. The speed lines incorporated in the image insist that it is Rodan moving. What it means? I dunno...

If you look closely you can see a rock placed over his right wing near the bottom, which would imply it was his dark outline still on the ground.

^I just looked at it again, and the rock isn't actually over the wing, it's the wing shadow following the curvature or the rock on the ground. You can even see some of the other rocks curves inside of the silhouette of the shadow.

I mean, I could still be wrong, but I believe it is the shadow of a flying Rodan. The way the blacks are spotted inside (all flowing in a single direction and along the path of action) strongly, strongly suggest it is a shadow in movement.

I guess time will tell... my faith about it showing a tough Rodan is somewhat shaken at this point considering how quickly he was controlled and then how quickly he was later beaten by Godzilla.

I enjoyed this whole 12 issues for what it is. Not the best, but eh it's a good popcorn comic (if that exists).

Pretty much just filler, but it was cool to see Rodan's up and SpaceGodzilla is a comin'.

My interest in this series dropped rapidly during the last couple issues. I'm excited to see how the new creative team expands upon this.

I thought this was one of the better issues actually. It had a very haunting quality about it. There's still some problems with it. Did Rodan eat that guy in the begining? What was the big hole in the ice? Was that Rodan's shadow? Where did SpaceGodzilla come from? Why does it say "To be continued?" when the last issue had "To be concluded?" They're all staged very awkwardly.

KOM was nowhere near perfect but I do feel Ciaramella improved upon it in the last four issues/volume 3. I hope he returns to do a one-shot or limited series (not connected to KOM of course). Santos on the other hand I could live without. I'm fine with simple, stylistic art but not when it largely comes across as messy and confusing.
