I've honestly never been able to watch an episode of his show since everytime I start watching I stop it and go listen to "Ready to Roll" over and over again.

I've gotten bored of Film Brain. He doesn't really crack jokes at the movies he reviews, just critiques them. That's fine, but if he's not having fun with the review, then odds are, neither am I. The movies that he reviews present plenty of joke material, but all he ever seems to do is point out how the scene is wrong and always does it with a straight face. Also, it seems that he ends every sentence with the same inflection, and it gets annoying at times.

Ironically, that's my biggest issue with the majority of the contributers, they're "reviews" are nothing more than scene for scene commentary. Yeah, it's fun making quips about a film, but I want their analysis of a film. This is why I enjoyed Plinkett's Star Trek reviews. They are quick and comical like Doug's, but he breaks down the story/characters and gives an anal-sistic review to why certain elements doesn't work.

Note: I didn't use his Star Wars reviews as an example. His Star Trek reviews are around the same time as a Nostalgia Critic video.

I have a soft spot for Oancitizen's Brows Held High, where the guy reviews excentric, (trying to be) artistic films, with some baccground info and etcetera... but I rarely can watch the whole reviews for the movies reviewed themselves... Though I must admit that movies like Gerry and The Brown Bunny seem like perfect cures for insomnia... while Alice is mindblowingly creepy. And just as Nostalgia Critic has "Garbage Pail Kids", and Cinema Snob has "E.T. The Porno" (Don't ask), Oancitizen's most hated movie is... Sweet Movie.

His new review is Blair Witch 2: Book Of Shadows (2000)!

I was surprise by the choice, I was hoping that he would pick Dracula 2000 for a 2000 movie review for Nostalgiaween. It seems like a better choice but that's just me.

Since this thread has been dead for a while, did anyone liked Star Trek month? I thought it was much better then sequel month which I thought was pretty meh outside of two reviews.

I liked it. The Linkara gag was obvious and not all that funny to me until he actually did a team-up.

I think the NC reviews have gone down hill. I haven't really laughed at his newer reviews. Angry Joe is my personal favorite on the site.

His reviews are still enjoyable to me, they are not as good as they where in 2008-2010 but I still like them. Moulin Rage, Inspector Gadget, Neverending Story 3, Doug's First Movie, Baby Genius and The Grinch where the best reviews of last year IMO.

His reviews suck now, mainly due to the fact that he ran out of notable bad movies and instead had to turn to somewhat passable movies. His Top 11's, however, are still entertaining.

I think Doug still has enough notable bad films that he won't run out. I think the review of Patch Adams, Star Trek V, Star Trek 9, and Santa Claus: The Movie are the best reviews of this year so far. With the review of The Grinch, he did made some good points since I never liked that movie neither.

I disagree with this. I think last year was, overall, the best year he's done for his reviews, because each one felt different from the last, and I really got the feeling that Doug was trying his hardest to put out something funny.

Doug could review a relatively good film, and still come out with something funny. He really doesn't need to be reviewing notably bad movies to be funny.

However, I think 2012 hasn't gotten off to a good start with Star Trek month, because those reviews were pretty forgettable, outside of Insurrection, and only because it was a crossover with Linkara. And his Patch Adams review wasn't really that funny, just him explaining why he hates the film, which got old after a while.

Not going to happen. I think it's safe to say that he isn't going to review any more Godzilla movies.

As long if Doug makes me laugh then I still watch his videos. I thought last year was a good year but not as good as 2008-2010.

My top 11 reviews of last year (copy & paste my post from the TGWTG forums).

1. Moulin Rouge
2. The Neverending Story III
3. Doug's First Movie
4. Inspector Gadget
5. The Grinch
6. The Legend of the Titanic
7. Dungeons & Dragons
8. Top 11 Batman The Animated Series Episodes
9. Jaws: The Revenge
10. Old Vs. New: True Grit
11. Child's Play/The Cell

I hope the 200th episode will be The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle since so many people requested in the past few years. I hear it might be Ponyo since Doug wants to review it.

Hasen't doug said that he doesn't care for Godzilla, so he won't review the movies?
