Ok, it's been a while since I brought this up but, I decided on a "template" for the plot.
I know that the diagram I made is crappy, but it gets the basic point across. I may not implement this (or atleast not as complicated of one), but I felt like having certain decisions you make through out the game decide what will happen next would be a nice feature to add in.

Also! Whenever I do get an ImageShack account, I will be uploading the sprites I made for the game to this topic.

If I may suggest...

while the social aspects of Tumblr are extremely poor and I dislike it in that nature, it makes a brilliant, fast image uploader.

Please, do THIS! It would be awesome, I would pay money to you to play a Godzilla game like that (even if it's just a few minor/major outcome changes for our decisions), if it wasn't illegal for me to do so, lol.

I probably will add something like this (maybe 1-5 events), but just a single play through that is the same ach time isn't something I'd really want to have for this project.

Ok, so far, I'm planning out the plot of what I want this RPG to take. I've gone through atleast several ideas (I think four as of now) that I have came up with, but none have been original and good enough. I am wanting to get out a nice, clean plot planned out before I get too far ahead, so when I get that done, I'll be releasing a demo to see what you guys think about the progress I've been making, which I think I'll be releasing in 2-3 months, when I'll hopefully be around 5%-25% done. I'll try to post an update every 1-2 weeks.

Sounds like a fantastic idea for a game. Is it going to be more action driven or story driven? What sort of play style are you thinking of? Like a Final Fantasy game?

Well, I guess it will be more story driven, as a good story you play along in the RPG was mainly my original intention. I've always thought that a more story driven game would fit Godzilla better than an action driven game, but that's just me.

Also, since my old laptop stopped being able to run applications/programs, even Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, I haven't been able to work on the RPG too much, I'm currently on a new laptop, which when I transfer the data I am needing from my other laptop, I can continue to work on this project of mine.

Well, I had a flash drive ready to transfer my data to my new laptop, but I seem to have misplaced it. I am currently unable to purchase another one, so I need to locate my current flash drive, which I'll hopefully find later today or tomorrow. For now, I will be toying with the program I will be using and getting more used to it, and I'll probably work on some smaller project using Source SDK, that would be unrelated to my RPG. I have NO intentions on leaving my RPG unfinished.

Sorry it's been a while since I've given you all an update, so here's what I've been up to, besides getting used to the system- first, I've been experimenting on seeing of how well the MC sprites fit in with the world sprites, and quite a few of them really don't mesh in well in my opinion, so I have been "experimenting" on making custom ground sprites to fit in their place. I most likely will be using some sprites from MC, but not as much as I was expecting. Secondly, I've been remixing several themes for the RPG, at the moment, two are in progress, and another is done. Finally, when I get the 1st world map done, I'll probably release a demo to see what you think of it. Since coding never really was my strong side (even though the engine I am using doesn't require everything to be made from scratch), it'll be a while for this to be done (I only got my demo for RPG Maker 2K3 done so quickly because just about everything was set up, and sprites/music/events were all set up for you, except "custom" content). As I said before, I have NO intentions on giving up on this project.

I probably skipped over this - but what program are you using to make this?

I plan on using 001 Game Creator, which was recommended by zilla103192.

Also, on the 11th of May, I am going to "release" some of the custom world sprites for the monsters. I know I will need to make them fit in better with the Giant Monster March sprites, notably needing to be chibified. Also, I have made the game themes for Orga and King Ghidorah. Orga's game theme will be (of course) remixed songs from G2K, while King Ghidorah's game theme(s) will be from GvKG and or GMK (it has not yet been decided). I have no intentions of them being placed on YouTube, or another media sharing site for now.

I'd learn towards GvKG and save GMK for, say, Baragon.

Ok, I have a change in plans for May 11th. Instead of releasing some of the beta monster sprites, I am going to release some of the beta buildings/machines that will be featured. Included will be:
1. Tokyo Tower
2. Statue of Liberty
3. Sydney Opera House

All of these famous landmarks are from several cities that areplanned on being in the game. I will also be starting on the military's theme music for when you battle them in-game. Also, I will be starting on a custom story, which may or may not be used for my RPG's plot. I might post some short summaries of parts later on when I get it to suitable parts.

Okay, I've been comparing the landmark building sprites to the GMM sprites BGL ripped for me, and well, I messed up on the building sprites, with the Sydney Opera House being the worst offender. Instead of making them look top-down, I accidentally made them down-up. It's a minor mess up, but it will be fixed before the game's release. I may hold up releasing the Sydney Opera House's sprite for a bit, since it turned out much worse than the other two sprites. Instead, I will release world sprites for the Super X II and the Gotengo with the other two landmarks instead.

EDIT: Actually, I think I will release the sprites tomorrow night and polish them up in the mean time.

Please, I would appreciate it.

Also about my sprites, since my internet has been being highly buggy, due to the bad wi-fi of where I am currently, it may bug up again, and prevent me from getting on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc, so I will try to release them later today if the internet will work for 5 min. for me, which it hopefully will.

Ok, I have successfully uploaded the four sprites. Yes, I know that the Tokyo Tower is a flat sprite, but I really had no buildings to judge how to angle it, or any good photos/images to judge by. The Statue of Liberty has no details on it's head due to it continually coming out bad, and, the same as the Tokyo Tower, I had no good images to base it as top-down, so I left it like that for the time being. These will be fixed when I release the V2 sprites. The Gotengo and Super X-II came out quite differently, and they may stay the same. The sprites can be viewed here: http://projecttoho.wikia.com/wiki/File: ... ites_I.png

All in all, building sprites aren't something I am good at making, but it will just take sometime to get used to.
