At this link a while back i ordered the godzilla boxset, and i was. Really really exicted, but when it came it, it looked diffrent from most versions i have seen in reviews, the one that opens up in the middle, and is really big. But mine, is way skinnier, and didnt open up, i was confused as the movie dvds were all in 2 dvd boxes. On the site it shows mine but what i want to know is, why is mine diffrent? Is mine a bootleg or is there 2 diffrent versions?

Your set isn't a bootleg, I believe there are three different versions out there. The first is the one with the two-part box, and the nice shiny cases for each DVD with bellybands. The second is, from what I understand, the same individual DVDs and cases, but with a similar box that works more like a standard DVD artbox. It sounds like you might have a third variety, made to further cut production costs.

Thank you very much... I was worried that i had gotten the bootleg, and while ive seen footage of the first two versions in reviews, nothing i could find matched mine. Thanks for the help

Yeah I'd like to see some pictures of the 2 dvd boxes too, I've never heard of this version.

There are pictures on the amazon link, but if you email me at gster454@gmail.com i would be happy to send pics
However i can describe it, it looks quite a bit just like the 2nd revision, but its thinner, removing the japanese letters for "gojira" on the side. On the back it has a legend which has tiny pictures of all the monsters, and then volume 1: gojira/godzilla, king of the monsters godzilla raids again Etc, both volumes have 4 discs inside and the covers look pretty much like the box. Thats the only diffrences i have noted so far.

I don't know about the two DVD boxes, but the box fanciness reduction happened a long time ago.
