What Godzilla Movies have you cried on?

Three Godzilla movies have made me cry, each for their own reasons:

- Godzilla (1954) - The scene where the little girl cries for her wounded mother in the hospital.
- The Return of Godzilla - The finale, especially with the high-pitched roar that was added in the English dubbed versions.
- Godzilla vs. Destroyah - Again, the ending. I don't think I need to say why.

a) Jr.'s death, and Godzilla's failed attempt to save his son.

Holy crap, how could I have not mentioned that one. Yeah, that was almost as sad as his dad's death.

I haven't cried watching any Godzilla films, not even seeing Godzilla melt down. These films just don't make me feel that way.

Godzilla Final Wars is the only one I can think of. Granted my tears started drying as the credits rolled.

I didn't cry but Godzilla vs. Destoroyah was pretty weird. I didn't think he was actually gonna die. They talk about attempting to destroy Godzilla all the time (especially in the Heisei series), but it never really happens. So when he did die I was pretty shocked. Too shocked to even understand that Junior had come back to life. I didn't take it that literally. I didn't know anything about the movie either, so I was kind of confused the whole time anyway. When Godzilla first showed up glowing everywhere I thought it would be Destoroyah in disguise or something.

Although I was surprised when Godzilla screamed like that at the end of Godzilla 1985.

I definitely cried while watching Godzilla (1998) in theaters.

Hmm, closest I can was when I watched Gojira for the first time. Heck with it, every time I see it. Just the post-attack scenes are horrible disturbing, they just get seared into your mind.

I almost cried to Godzilla Versus Destroyah, but I decided not to give up my man card.

Godzilla 1985: had me crying actually as soon i heard that horrifying scream along with that sad music.

Godzilla Vs Destoroyah: made me shed a tear and it got me pretty sad.

Son Of Godzilla: I was sad but i didnt cried.

Like many Godzilla fans who grew up in the nineties I cried when I saw the end of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.

Also not too long after that (maybe about a year later?) I saw a fansubbed bootleg of Rebirth of Mothra and I cried so hard when Mothra died and sank into the ocean

At the end of the original Godzilla movie, G 1985, Godzilla vs Destroyah, and I almost cried at the end of Son of Godzilla even though I never did really like Minilla.

Destroyah. Tears streaming down my face the first time I saw it when it finally arrived stateside on VHS. Man, that was bad. And I STILL tear up every time I see it. Actually, I'm feeling it just discussing this!

Didn't cry but got upset the first time I saw "vs Gigan" and was watching Godzilla got blasted over and over again by the lazer in the Godzilla tower, and Anguirus getting buzzsawed by Gigan when he tried to help.

Godzilla 1985, The moment Godzilla laid that final horrific scream as he falls into gets me every-time.. Well not anymore but when i was a lot younger i was in tears.

Easily the saddest scene in the franchise as far as i'm concerned.
