then we might miss the supersonic wave weapon, that really messes with Titanosaurus.

Well its just that I've always wanted to see something like that happen, I've also wanted to see Titanosaurus team up with Godzilla and the others, I think that would cool to see.

that might be possible, you see the girl dies at the end of the movie, so the peaceful titanosaurus might even stand beside godzilla now. not a very good fighter tho

Wouldn't mind seeing particular Kaiju from the Showa era/universe re-introduced/updated for a new era of Godzilla films, but not really that interested in seeing any of those films remade. Fine as is.

We did. A whole movie was based around it. It was called "GINO".

The very original, with Godzilla reprising his hardass role in an updated, no holds barred, as graphic as the original was supposed to be, slaughterfest of a film. Him demolishing innocent victims and incinerating them in radiation blasts, a true representation of Hiroshima's horrors again, to show new generations how sick and devastating Weapons of Mass Destruction truly are, especially when used on civilians.

^The original wasn't supposed to be graphic. It didn't need to be.

So the hospital scene and him blowing fire on an innocent child weren't graphic?

..No, not really. At least not compared to what you were describing for a remake (blood, guts, omzg!!).

The 1954 masterpiece does not need a remake.

But the original was toned down because Japan's creative arts and entertainment were being heavily monitored at the time.

The original is perfect and should be left alone. You deserve a nut kick to the sun for suggesting it needs to be more graphic.

You mean the occupation? That was gone by the time Godzilla was made. That's why it's so ballsy. Right when they could do it they made an anti-war movie (albeit with a giant dinosaur).

I don't want to see any of the Showa Godzilla films remade in the traditional sense of a remake. I'd love to see the Showa monsters return with Godzilla in their own features with new stories, and some new design choices. Still, even then, I think I'd prefer to see new monsters instead of rehashed older monsters.

You're right the occupation was over, sorry for inaccurate statement.

None. They'll never remake a Showa Era film and I'm glad they won't. The only one people would even consider is a remake of 1954 and no ones gonna touch that masterpiece. Or I'll rip their eyes out.

I'd like to see Godzilla Raids Again remade.

Remember the part where the pilots meet up at a seemingly uninhibited island? That's Act 1 easily. How cool would it be if they were stranded there for 1/3 of the movie? Imagine having to survive on an island teeming with giant monsters. Having both male characters in love with the same girl would've made the drama better, too.

Then Act 2 comes. The pilots escape and try to warn the rest of the world. The problem? The monsters have left the island! City destruction ensues as the pilots struggle to get their loved ones to safety.

At last we arrive to Act 3. Osaka has been leveled. Godzilla is the only survivor. In response, the government lures the beast to a place where they hope to bury him alive or something. The pilots from before, now celebrities after doing many heroic things in Act 2, agree to help. One of them dies but their sacrifice is not in vain. The nation mourns the deaths of the innocent and the passing of a hero, the surviving pilot finds peace, and it's implied this icy prison won't hold Godzilla forever...
