Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)

I used the search box to see if there was another thread about this and there isn't.

I read the book and damn was it a fun read. Naturally they decided to make a film out of it. Here's a news feature released and the trailer is out tommorow.

What little footage I saw......looks awesome!

Loved the book, so lookin' forward to the movie. Parts of the film are actually being shot right around where I live. There were sets for it just outside both my school and the school where my mom teaches.

We have a poster for this movie at the cinema that I work at. It looks silly as hell but I love those type of movies.

Oh this looks fun as hell, and the use of Johnny Cash is pretty damn affective.

I watched the trailer and having taken a college level course on American History, I think this will make my teacher cringe but I am looking forward to it. Looks mighty insteresting.

Actually, the book worked the vampires and vampire slaying into Abe's actual life quite well. I dunno how well that will transfer into the movies though.

We'll see, the same writter who wrote the book also did the script. I'm not going into this expecting anything truly great, but I am going into it expecting a whole lot of action and fun.

I really hate mash-up books. I could be talking out my ass, but it just seems so lazy and hackish to me.

Out of curiosity, what worked with the book? I know little about it but I'm curious about the movie.

Just the way that the vampires were worked into the actual history of Lincoln. It wasn't like they were just thrown in randomly and blatantly, they were drizzled in where they fit.
