Considering Gigan has been notably absent in the IDW line so far, still hoping that materializes someday. Probably be pretty influential within the fandom too, as its not really a topic that has ever been covered before in fiction.

... although in the mean time, the Hedorah fan in me is pretty happy with the premise of Legends #4.

No comment. :)

My story was going to deal with how he got all of his weapons and what not and how he went from a planetary protector to deranged monster, always looking for a fight. Towards the end of the book, we reveal that he's encased in some of SpaceGodzilla's crystals... but he has a new weapon to use. Aaaaaand, they fight. :) My first pitch to wrap up the KOM storyline had him cleaning up the Earth's problems (basically a reverse Final Wars approach), but barely escaping with his life after meeting Godzilla. I had a fun scene with him and Kumonga that I might save in case I ever get to write something with those two in it someday.

Regarding Legends #4, thanks a lot! Like I said before, it's a part of a larger story really, well, a scene of it... but the fun part of it was really just scripting up scenes and panels for E.J. to draw. So while the story may be not much more than just a three-way monster slugfest, it's got some fantastic artwork in it at least.

This looks good, definitively buying the TPB of Legends -if it wasn't evident at this point-.

That Gigan origin story does sound pretty awesome, still waiting for the cyborg chicken to make his debut in the comics.

^That's probably the greatest picture I've seen of Mechagodzilla II.

Wait a minute... Are those Matt Frank sketch covers carrying an MSRP of about $80, or is that just what some comic stores are jacking the price up to?

Also, why was no mention of the Eric Powell sketch covers for KoM #1 covered on the main site?

Midtown Comics mentions the list price as $80.

I wasn't dealing with IDW directly at the time, and they came out in September. Not sure IDW will be able to accommodate that request given the circumstances, but will try.

Oh, okay, whew! I thought so, given the circumstances.

Worst case scenario, I do own one of the Eric Powell variants... Would you like me to send you another scan like I did for the Rodan cover, if I am able to?

So about 100 covers, not one the same, sold throughout the country?

Yep, Now I'm really glad I'm not trying to collect every IDW variant cover.

Well, damn, Heisei Mechagodzilla looks fan-friggin-tastic. EJ really excels at the robotic form, and Priscilla gives his work awesome textures and depth.

I can't for the the life of me guess what the story is gonna be and how it spotlights Hedorah but that's part of the fun.

I counted ~120 in the photo Matt Frank took on his DA page.

I will get one... I will....

Looks like Godzilla Kingdom of Monsters has shed a little over a thousand viewers since November. Happy to see the two Godzilla titles doing comparatively to each other, although in this case would have loved for Legends #3 to have gotten more sales as it still remains my personal favorite comic from them so far. Actually, I think its the lowest selling Godzilla comic so far from them.
