#1. Godzilla 1985 - Great Score, Love Godzilla's roar an design, Love the introduction of the Super-X, The Return to form of Godzilla being a force of nature an the ending is absolutely beautiful in a sense then it leaves you with your eyes watering as Godzilla falls into the Volcano. (100% Perfection)

#2. Godzilla vs Biollante - Godzilla's introduction is just Epic, The Suit is improved greatly an the roar is still awesome, There is a unique fresh plot (something the series needs again) Biollante in her 1st form was both beautiful but tragic but in her final form a true force to be messed with. The fight scenes are top notch, The Super-X 2 was a great improvement over the first... Effects were brilliant. Other then some minor pacing issues where it may seem to drag.. The film is just awesome

#3. Godzilla vs King Ghidorah - Solid continuation, Love how they showed Godzilla before he was mutated as an innocent creature. The scene with the man an Godzilla facing each other threw glass was one of the most touching moment's since the ending of ''Son of Godzilla'' really makes you feel for Godzilla. Again the fight scenes are great... King Ghidorah got it's ass handed to it the first time... Seeing Mecha-King-Ghidorah make its first entrance was just Epic.... Aside from the time traveling or-deal an some other minor thing's i didn't care for like the Robot... it was still a damn good entry...

The rest afterwards slowly decline greatly in quality until Godzillla vs Destroyah.

"We are the Cosmos, my friends"
"The Earth is a living thing, it can also be offended!"
"My company has destroyed forests, I feel very guilty"

Yeah, there's the perfect example of welcoming unintentional comedy with open arms. Sigh...I remember when I used to like that movie. I still enjoy the Mothra/Battra/Cosmos stuff, but the humans are just worthless, dubbed or subbed.

1. Godzilla vs Destoroyah

2. Godzilla vs Biollante

Hmm... the last one is tough. Real tough. It's between King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla. I like Ghidorah better overall, but then it has that stupid Fake Ghidorah that I like to bitch about. And the Dorats. Those damn Dorats. Oh... and a terminator rip off (but still cool), and the infamous "Take that you dinosaur!". You know what? I just decided.

3. Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla

(But M-11 is still awesome, despite his ripoff-ishness. He's awesome enough to make it into my fan fic. Can't say the same for other characters, like Miki.)

1 - Return of Godzilla
I like the dark tone, the aggressive update of Godzilla, the topical plot and undertones, etc. Just well done.

2 - Godzilla vs Biollante
Great special effects for its time, since honestly I can't see a fat budgeted American production in 1989 having noticeably better special effects in a giant monster movie. Topical plot, very interesting monster, great looking suits and props. The only thing I can complain about here is that the monster action could've been lengthened. There's not even 10 minutes total of monster fighting between the two battles.

3 - Godzilla vs Destoroyah
Well executed sense of dread, emotional ties to the monsters (or against Destoroyah), and yeah. Just very emotional. A shame that they still weren't trying with the special effects. If it had GvB grade special effects it would probably be up there with GvB for me.

I've always found Godzilla vs. Biollante to be overrated.

3. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah

By no means a great film, but fun nonetheless. The first fight was fantastic.

2. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II

I've always been impressed with this one. Emotion, excellent score, very good monster fights, and it has Rodan.

1. Godzilla vs. Destoroyah

This is it, this is just a fantastic film. Drama, emotion, a sense of dread, and fights that have a dramatic atmosphere about them.
Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

1.) Godzilla vs Biollante (1989).
2.) Return of Godzilla (1984).
3.) None.

I put Godzilla vs Destoroyah (1995) on the same level as Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla (1993). And then Battle for the Earth (1992) on the same level as Godzilla vs King Ghidhorah (1991).

my love of mecha places MG & MKG in my top three but Destroyah was amazing by far. discovering the heisei series through a now defunct japanes bookstore in manhattan completely re kindled my love for the king who i thought had been long gone in re-runs on tv.

Definitely the first three films, and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla as an honorable mention. The other three do nothing for me, including the highly overrated Godzilla vs. Destroyah.
