Showa Godzilla Films You'd Like To See Remade

Like the others i perfer Showa style because of the era it was made. that was Tohos golden years.
but, for the sake of the thread i will say The Mysterians, Varan, Rodan or even Mothra would be nice.

As good a Varan would be, I think that Baragon would be better if he was allowed to use all of his powers, if you don't mind, let me show you.
(Powers/Weapons: Heat Ray from mouth; nasal horn that can glow; burrowing ability; extraordinary jumper)
In the one instant that I can remember where Godzilla and Baragon meet, Baragon is not allowed to use the heat ray.

Well true but all the monsters nowadays shoot something out of some orifice. i think it would be nice to go back to a monster that really does none of that just brute force. probably a 50s period piece would fit better for that though.

But Baragon had a beam in the beginning. If you want sheer brute force you have Rodan, Anguirus, Varan, Manda, Gorosaurus, Ebirah, Kamacuras, Showa Gigan, Titanosaurus... the list goes on.

I also don't want any of them remade scene by scene per se. But I'd love to see a sort of modern update based off of Terror of Mechagodzilla.

No Showa film should be 'remade.' Granted, if Legendary Studios borrows some elements from say, GHIDORAH, then that's fine. But remakes are unnecessary.

Though I must admit the thought of a scene-for-scene remake of DESTROY ALL MONSTERS with today's effects would be pretty epic.

These movies should be left alone (maybe KK Vs G) but "if" Toho decides to make another movie with some scenes
being re enacted then it would be Ok.

Wait, what? I think the Showa films are fine and don't need to be remade. Leave the classics alone for once!

Nippon Tanjo (movie Orochi shown is from) technically did get remade in the form of Yamato Takeru.

The rest that you listed are some that I personally would love to see be remade. I would also add Ghidrah to the list as I'm sure better effects would make that movie even more fantastic than it already is.
