Should There Be A Book Subforum In Media Center?

The title says it all. Should there be a book sub forum/forum somewhere on TK? I'm sure there's a fair amount of you who read books (as doubtful as that sounds) and there are hundreds of series, one-offs, or just plain popular books that many people enjoy. Books are a major part of society and media, a lot of things we love wouldn't exist without books. I see that people discuss them quite a lot here so why not discuss them at large? So state you opinion: Should TK make a Book Forum?

I say the only reason there would be to make a new subforum would be if there were a lot of threads about books. There are a few book topics, but not many. Not enough to say that books deserve their own subforum.

I'd love more discussion about books, but I'm not convinced many others here read. And of those that do, I have this nagging feeling that it's mostly about wizards and dragons and spaceships and such. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I know you don't mean this the way it reads, but I think it's hilarious anyway.

I'm going to make reference to a board I mod at for an example. We had several people ask for a book forum, and we mostly rejected it because we didn't think traffic would be high. Finally we renovated the entire place and decided to throw in a book board to get people to shut up. Now that we have one, nobody uses it. People just use the same old threads they used before to declare "Hey, I'm reading this book now!" Basically they write down the title and don't even tell us what they think about it.

I imagine it would be much, much worse here. We actually have very vocal readers on our board.

Well in my opinion: If you build it they will come.
We may not necessarily need a book forum, but if one's added people might flock to it.

Still, the comic books that seem to get the most discussion are the Godzilla ones and all of that discussion is going on in the toys subforum right now. And even THAT is going to lessen once KOM ends.

There are a fair amount of comic fans on this board and I feel that, if this board is made, it will generate some good discussion on comics and stuff.

To be fair, you seem to only post in the Toho-specific forums, Mike. I really don't see you post anywhere but there and in the Comment areas.
