Nutkicks wataru into the sun for mentioning the Plasma Fist.
This fight could go either way.
GMK Godzilla's Pros and ConsThis Godzilla has insane durability: 1) he was standing at ground zero of his own mushroom-cloud-making Atomic Blast. He walked away from this, unscathed. 2) King Ghidorah's Spirit Fireball, a very powerful attack, succeeded in only inflicting Godzilla with a minor shoulder wound, which was later exploited from within by those meddling humans. The downside? Godzilla's regeneration isn't very fast. While it's arguably the best, since it's implied he's the original Godzilla, which means he regenerated practically from nothing, it's nowhere near as fast as his Heisei, GxM, and G2K counterparts. However, it's not like this Godzilla's regeneration is extremely slow; it was fast enough to close up Godzilla's bleeding shoulder before he blew himself to kingdom come.
As far as firepower goes, GMK Godzilla is up there. What it lacks in concussive force, it makes up for in heat and explosive force.
In T&C, Godzilla is above average. He's skilled enough to fight multiple opponents at once, while relying on his strength and intelligence to exploit the enemy. He's not stronger than Gamera, but he is more agile, and has what it takes to take the edge in a melee. Despite killing himself, which was his stupidest moment, he's still a better strategist than Gamera.
Heisei Gamera's Pros and ConsContrary to what many believe, Heisei Gamera isn't made of paper. Quite the opposite, he's pretty damn durable. This wasn't always the case; he was weaker in his first film. But by the time
G2 and
G3 rolled around, Gamera's durability took a leap in awesomeness. Overall, Gamera's best durability feats deserve respect: 1) Gamera's body wasn't blown apart by the Legion Flower Explosion, which leveled Sendai. 2) Gamera has fallen from great heights and got up just fine. 3) Falling through atmospheric reentry did nothing to him. 4) Hyper Gyaos's Sonic Beam, which cut a skyscraper in half in less than a second, couldn't even make his hand bleed. The downside? Gamera's healing capabilities suck. The only exception to this is if there's fire in the area, which will be a huge possibility given the nature of Godzilla and Gamera's energy attacks and how flammable the battlefield is.
But what Gamera lacks in healing, he makes up for it in endurance. This bastard doesn't know
how to quit (he doesn't know how to die either). He'll keep coming and coming 'til you're dead or he's dead or you're both dead. This has worked against him in the past. While it's admirable and a kaiju like Anguirus would be proud, it has blinded Gamera from making better choices.
When it comes to firepower, Gamera is better armed. His fireballs are one of the most devastating kaiju attacks. They've reduced entire flocks of Gyaos to fiery chunks, leveled several city blocks, and blasted off his own arm. Regarding that last point, Gamera blasting off his own arm is easily comparable to the damage Legion's Electromagnetic Blast inflicted on his shoulder. So Gamera's fireballs are way up there. While GMK Godzilla is certainly durable enough to resist the first few bombardments, it wouldn't be long before those fireballs started inflicting some serious pain.
Neither the Mana Blast nor the Plasma Fist will be used. There's not enough time to summon the Mana and Godzilla's Atomic Blast =/= Gamera's fireballs, so no luck on creating a Plasma Fist... Even though it'd look cool.
Gamera does have a huge edge in strength. But he's not very fast, so Godzilla will have the upper hand in T&C, however, Gamera is more than capable of inflicting a wound that could prove fatal. Look at Gamera's picture for a second and marvel at his tusks. They're certainly capable of piercing Godzilla's hide and, if it's close enough to his neck, it might lead to Godzilla blowing himself up again.
So yeah, I'm going to abstain. Both kaiju are even and have similar feats.
