Also, I'm going to agree with JKN. I wouldn't mind seeing a Mecha-Manda. A robotic Asian-dragon sounds pretty badass to me, and the potential for cool movements is off the charts. It would certainly be a nice change of pace from hulking bipeds.

I know, but I never liked the head, and overall it feels more like a drain-snake to me than it does a dragon. A robotic Manda with, say, a Kiryu-level of design sophistication, and stylized with more organic characteristics (metal musculature/flowing, cord-like whiskers/etc), is more along the lines I was thinking.

EDIT: How about a Mecha Seesar? I don't know if I'd actually want to see it happen, but it's a fairly workable idea. He's already an artificial construct of some sort, so it would probably be easy to slap some armor and weapons on him; it's not like his body might reject the modifications or whatever. The reflective eyes are a great defensive ability, but maybe the gem inside his head could be modified somehow to give him the option of storing the energy of captured lasers and using it to power his own weapons or other systems. Or if the gem could be reproduced, you could make his armor out of it and render his whole body immune to energy weapons. There's actually a lot of potential with this guy.

Yeah, you're right. I just looked Heisei Gamera up on Rodan's Roost...it was the Plasma Fist I was thinking of. I haven't actually seen those movies...thought I'd remembered reading that it was a plasma beam. Which still wouldn't technically be a laser, I guess.
