Has anyone heard anything about issue 11? Kinda surprised that a preview hasn't shown up yet.

The creepy Frenchies are the best! I'd like to see them return under a more capable writer.

Surprised that there isn't a discussion thread for issue 11 yet....

Eh, not that fantastic, but I was surprised at the revival of Godzilla.

Nothing interesting. At all, really. Just... Kinda ther-

Wait a minute? Was that a hint at SpaceGodzilla in issue #12?

I took the liberty of starting one. And yes, it looks like that was a SpaceGodzila hint.

I would hope that issue 12 would finish with Space Godzilla, since he was prominantly featured on one of the covers for issue #12 shown a couple of months ago. I dont get why Space Godzilla appears more and more as the Ultimate Nemesis for Godzilla (TM Toys, G:STE, G:U and now the IDW comic), but it is what it is...

Also, although I have bought all the comics thus far, and of all the licensed Kaiju- I dont recall Gigan being in the story so far(other than being on a cover of one of the issues). I'll admit I've read these all just once, and not very thoroughly. Did I miss Gigan's appearance??

Well here's to hoping what IDW has planned for Godzilla in May 2012 and beyond is something good.

There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.

Gigan has yet to appear, aside from a brief panel flashback in Legends #1.

I think #12 could feature Mothra with the Elias giving exposition about what has been happening (Specially the dead animals subplot).

I don't think the guy who figured it all out and got killed by Rodan was intended to be more than a way to show how pessimistic and hopeless these comic's universe is.

It seems like Godzilla killed off the twin sisters. I don't know about the rest of you but I think IDW ran its course with Godzilla. Personally I think they failed to deliver an effective and consistent comic book series with Godzilla.

Read through the questions sent to the editor in the stomping ground section. It's one of those

^ a thanks hadn't had time to read the stomping grounds yet

also this issue was one of the fastes reads in forever i thought numer 1 was a fast read but here i was reading and i thought what is it already over.
I think godzill KOM is one of the worst godzilla comics ever and has the worst art in godzilla comics ever but still call me a fanboy but i am still liking it i'm not obsessed with it and around issue 5 i had given up on this comic and wanted to tell my comic shop they didn't have to order it anymore ( i am the only one who buys this comics so they order the books only for me)
but since issue six i began liking it again.

i hope the reboot or sequel will be better of course and if it is possible i want it to be just as good as legends 1

that is my take on issue 11 and the overall KOM series

Legends and G&G were really cool. They sure did back the wrong horse with KOM though

My library got ahold of the full volume of Gangsters & Goliaths, so I finally got to read this miniseries.

This is definitely an improvement over Kingdom of Monsters, from what I've seen. The story is quite interesting, and fairly well executed. The art, unfortunately, is mediocre at best, so there's no real improvement there.

I can't say I like any of the cover art for this series, other than Matt Frank's special (which, of course, looks amazing).

Ponticelli does a decent job at drawing the kaiju, but there at least one or two shots of each that look really bad.

Why, oh why did they use heisei Mothra?? X_X

There were a couple parts of the finale, like the henchmen turning against Takahashi & Nakamura's repentance, that seemed a bit cliche, but at least they didn't distract from the story too much.

Overall, this was pretty good. I eagerly await the full volume release of Legends!

And because its probably the most widely recognized version of Mothra.
