It's an almost child-like personality trait, which I kind of like.

Yeah, it looks kind of stupid, but it's much more appealing than his crazy victory dance.

I like the clap as well (ugh...that didn't sound right), and it's perfectly in line with something of ape-like intelligence. I doubt LP will ever give us something that close to comic/cutesy, but some gesture that gives off a similar sense of emotion would be nice.

He should be like an overgrown child, curious about his surroundings, sometimes dangerously so. But also generally lighthearted and in a state of permanent confusion. The aformentioned flapping works, because kids do that all the time.

I KNOW I'm going to catch flak, but he needs to be an intimidating force the likes the Earth has never seen. A powerful, looming behemoth that has the ability to level a city with one blast. A looming omen of death and destruction, a reminder of the horrors in the world that constantly searches for nourishment. I want to see a cross between 1954, GMK, and vs Megaguirus/1984.

Godzilla needs to convey the message once more he isn't a cute, cuddly dinosaur that occupies your children's time on the weekends (though he did for many). I feel the original message from 1954, like that monster itself, has faded into the mist never to be seen again.

That's how I feel that he should be portrayed. That's my opinion. I know others disagree, but I feel this is what he needs.

Speaking of Rodan if they bring him back I hope they change his wings so they're not sticking out all the time, like when he's on land.

I guess you mean like the 90s Gyaos? I could see that working, although it would probably take me a while to get accustomed too.

Godzilla is whatever the movie requires him to be. Now go back watching your "dark, gritty and meaningful" movies.

Godzilla is a mutant dude.

Doesn't matter that he used to be a dinosaur, fallout has changed him into something else all together now, a monster.

I still fail to see how a doltish, child-like Godzilla is acceptable in anyway...

Which is why I tend to shy away from almost all of the showa movies. I feel that, after 1954, Godzilla went downhill, and not one movie after that was able to truly capture the image of the first. This NEEDS to be remedied.

He should be somewhat animalistic, however intelligent. Something like (dont hate on me for this) GINO. GINO displayed some pretty remarkable intelligence, such as using the submarine's own torpedos against them, outsmarted trained helicopter pilots, etc. Combine GINO's intelligence with a destructive Godzilla and you have a pretty terrifying monster.

Quite simply he's never been portrayed as such. It would be interesting to get the character out of tired and cliche roles. Just imagine an 8 year old with the size and power of Godzilla. Now, that would be dangerous.

I think Godzilla should have the mentality of a senior citizen. He should be stuck in ways and bitch when his food isn't soft enough and occasionally lose control of his bowels.
