Hehe. Sheer size I don't mind at all, but the FATGodFATzillaFAT design is unholy.

Meh, I don;t really like the rejected concepts.

The one on the right is way to dinosaur like. As for the one on the left, the stance is still a bit too crouched over, it looks like Gwanji or something. I'd like to see a stance similar to the Atari Godzillas, fully upright but with the tail lifted off the ground. However, the head should be held up higher.

But back to the concepts, both are a bit too bland. Now I don't wanna see something like the Critical Mass/Space Godzilla thing Bob Eggleton was talking about, but these designs are downright boring. I want to see something like Godzilla 2000, true top the original, but having enough new features to be INTERESTING.

For Godzilla vs Destroroyah, they gave him the burning effects.

For G98, they... well, do I need to explain what they did?

for Godzilla 2000, they changed his color and gave him them UBER SPIKEY plates.

They took liberties from the original design. But still able to clasify it as Godzilla.

I want the Legendary Godzilla to be Godzilla, but not Godzilla. y'know?

I want him to be his own Godzilla, not just the basic idea of what the character is...

i know exactly what u mean!.. but to me it seems like everything that can be done with godzilla has been done, what im trying to say is i cant imagine another "Godzilla, but not Godzilla"....one more thing, i know you guys are probably gonna hate me for saying this but i actually didnt mind the 98 godzilla because he was "his own godzilla" like zilla103192 said. and im not saying i liked the movie im saying i liked the godzilla

It say's it was "scanned by one of the member's of Toho Kingdom". That's hardly what I would consider a "mention".

I'm surprised that these designs are just now making the rounds to other sites. They've been around for months.

The hunched over one looks absolutely awful, and just as bad as GINO, as far as I'm concerned. The other one isn't half bad, and with a little more mass added to it and some other tweaks, I would have been totally fine if that's what we had gotten in the final film.

Well it's Godzilla, not much effort goes into researching about LP's film, especially when there are other big films that are gaining more attention by the month.

Although it does annoy me that people are blowing this up a bit too much, with the news being months old and all. But I must admit, that the old news has managed to get some blood flowing around the film. Now if only LP can give us some real news...

Yeah, no one can deny that any mention of the project outside of the fan-circles is a good thing.

You guys really believe they were official? I knew they were fan made since they popped up. Chris disproved it on the spot.

What was the buzz about having rejected concept art anyways? It seems to be me the best Godzilla design info we have to go on at the moment is the t-shirt.

While I can easily believe that they're fake (it actually explains why the GINO-looking design was there in the first place), Armand doesn't even bother to cite a source.

Despite the second design looks nothing like Zilla?

The head is a lot different, and the musculature is too, but the back "spines" (they certainly aren't plates), and everything else is similar enough. Guess it's just me, I don't know *shrugs*

I don't hate GINO/Zilla's design, in fact, I kind of like it, but I want this "new" Godzilla to look nothing like it.

Yeah we're way overdue to finally get a real remake of Godzilla instead of just some big generic monster with the big G's name slapped on to draw in money.

Those are plates. A spine is something that belongs on the back of a hedgehog or on the skin of a cactus. Or Anguirus. A plate is an appendage on the back of a stegosaur...or, imagine that, Godzilla.

Zilla is an iguana made to look like Godzilla. The second, fake design is Godzilla's design placed over a typical theropod body.

Its a bit like apples and oranges in terms of design.
