I was there as well, so I can confirm this.
My impression was it was a humorous scene getting back at the long tradition of bad dubbing jobs in America by turning the tables 180 degrees with American actors being dubbed poorly but on purpose. There was never any swearing in any released form of GFW.
It just wasn't exactly worded that well.
I knew I'd use it for something eventually.
