See, this kind of stuff is what I hate about the gaming community (and pretty much any form of entertainment.) People discredit a game because they don't like it. Most of the time someone says something is "bad", it's because of their personal preference (and vice versa.)

I don't think the solution here is to avoid these kinds of topics. Rather, I think the best way to avoid these petty arguments is simply to shrug off whatever it is that annoys you. We all feel the need to defend something we like, but we don't have to always act on them, especially when the subject is something as trivial as a video game. The way I see it, even if people make all these drawn-out, elaborate, pseudo-intellectual posts to justify their opinion, it's still just an opinion. So if you just accept it as what it is, it shouldn't bug you as much. Works for me anyway.

True. Again, this was just an example of something I posted about earlier in the "What Gets On Your Nerves" topic, people who try to force their "more refined" opinions upon others because of their own intelligence. I just find the attitude in general abrasive and obnoxious, and I guess I have a tendency to act on it. I'll just try to temper myself from now on. Decent enough solution.
