What I don't understand is the desire for anything on the chin at all. Ever since friggin' Zilla I swear every redesign needs a prominant chin.

And the feet are too large. Otherwise I love it. Anguirus is awesome, too. Except the feet.

That Anguirus looks like ass. Head is all wrong, and the feet are stupid.

The spines and arms are too small for my tastes, and the face is a little goofy looking, but other than that I really like that design.

The arms and the face bother me a bit, but other than that it looks pretty cool.

It looks disfigured, like it got hit by a bus or something. The texture of its body is good, but the face, arms, and stature don't cut it.

I know they're going to make his design their own in some way, but I don't get some of these artist's aversion to having a Godzilla that stands completely upright. Maybe I'm just old-school, but these slightly hunched-over designs look odd to me.

Now, if these were clear choices, I'd pick either that design or the spiky/warty Godzilla from a few pages back. These two are the best for me compared to some of the other stuff.

Is there an echo in here? That design is alright.

It reminds me of a Harryhausen stop motion model.

I'm almost positive whoever made that based it off the old "generic Tyrannosaurus" toy from way back. I can't find a picture at the moment, and I don't care enough to dig mine out of storage, but it looks very similar. The stance, the positioning of the arms and how they attach to the body, the way the skin folds on the side of its torso, are all uncannily alike.

It has a nice "retro" appearance, but it looks unrefined. I'm not sure I'd want Godzilla to look like this in a film anyway.

I actually kinda like it, but there something that's just... off about it. It's like someone took a retro dinosaur model and added a few bits to make it Godzilla. It wants to be Godzilla, but isn't quite there.

Holy shit that thing is ugly. I mean it looks like Godzilla but geez, that's really the only good thing I can say about it. *waits for someone else to bring up SOG Godzilla and say it's not as ugly as that one*

Like I kind of said, it looks more like a prototype than a final product; and yeah, it looks more 'dinosaur' than 'Gojira'.

That works as a Godzillasaurus design. Now how about a Godzilla?
