Godzilla Final Wars censored f-bombs

Honestly, the scene should've been cut out entirely. It adds nothing to the story, isn't funny, and the dubbing that Toho eventually went off looks insanely amateurish. Would it have been better with the f-bombs? Well, probably not seeing as how that kind of language just doesn't fit Godzilla films whatsoever.

So yeah, yet another decision on GFW I have to question Kitamura for.

FW was not put together well, so seeing this was no supprise. However, it would be a supprise having excessive swears in a Godzilla film. I'm glad it was changed, or it might of made FW somehow even worse.

Does anybody know if it was censored at the Hollywood Premiere, or in Japanese theaters?

I wish I still had the .mpeg file of the film that I downloaded in Spring of 2005. It had Don Frye dubbed in Japanese, and I recall that scene with the pimp not being censored, but I could easily be imagining that. That was nearly 7 years ago.

When they showed it at G-fest I remember it being uncensored, it threw me off a bit when I got the DVD and suddenly they said fricken and hell instead of skreeonk.

Anyone who says the saw an "uncut" version is mistaken because Toho never made one. There's ZERO chance Toho would release a Godzilla film with F-bombs because a large percentage of Godzilla's audience is children.

I was at the world premiere in 2004 and the audio was relooped (I posted quotes from the actors about this). In 2005, Toho began renting GFW out for film festivals, conventions, art house theaters, etc, and it was identical to the version shown at the premiere (most likely, it was the exact same print). GFW had a three day run in Los Angeles so I saw it a couple more times in a theater. No f-bombs.

Kpa is right. All Godzilla movies should remain censored to all audience including Japan. If Toho released the Godzilla movie with f-words, they'll be fired. Godzilla is the master of all Japanese censorship. If anyone dares for an unexpected uncensored version with explicit dialogue of the upcoming Godzilla movie, they should answer it to Godzilla himself!
