As far as muscles go, if they give him more toned muscle than just pure mass, he looks more agile while retaining a sense of might without looking fat. He should be obviously saurian and not lizard like.

Exactly, I hate it when people make a chunky Godzilla thinking that lard equals power. I'd like to see a Godzilla that is sleeker and more streamlined while retaining a decent amount of muscle.

Also, here is an old design I made about a year ago:

There are some small things I'd change here and there, but this is the basic vision of what I want in the new film.

I remember when this one dude was posting them on some site saying that that pic (along with a bunch of other Godzilla monsters...) were all concepts for the Legendary Pictures movie.

Which is probably not true and i've seen the suppose designs you where talking about(the first of them to be jet jaguar). They were pretty good artwork.

I'm not really feelin' the feet. They look to much like an elephants legs and are to skinny. Should be beefier with larger claws. Otherwise, it's a great design.

^ Agreed. The legs need work, but it's great otherwise. I particularly like the large spikes on the end of the tail; I've never cared for the idea of Anguirus having a full-blown ankylosaur tail club, but the tail needed something to make it more dangerous. This is a good halfway point.

That thing looks nothing like Angilas aside from the head crests. Not really seeing what the big deal is. The essence of the character isnt there.

No offense, but you tend to think that any fan design that doesn't look EXACTLY like Toho's designs lack the essence of the character.

It's pretty cool but the feet and head need some work. That guy's drawings are interesting but also a bit off. They just need some guidance.

To the people who want a carbon copy of classic toho monsters, and who think alteration of said kaiju in even the smallest amounts is evil, it is a pretty big deal.

With that said I really hope they do something along the lines of

Shit, I like Tony McVey's Godzilla design as well. To me, if it has rough scaly skin, maple leaf back spikes, able to breathe a burning projectile weapon, stands completely or somewhat upright, can swim, and not die from 12 missles; its Godzilla.

Love this!! A bit of work to the spikes and the texture and I'd say this is as close as any to what I'd like to see!!

I kinda dig those too, though I'd phase them back in a little more so they weren't quite as prodominant...
