Top 4 best and worst Godzilla suits

BEST:
64 - Honestly the only Showa suit that looks really good IMO
84 - Looks like the original but done a lot better
91-95 - I grew up with him, I think this is the best suit by far
02-03 - My personal favorite suit of the Millennium series

WORST:
73-75 - I absolutely hate this suit, it just looks dumb
04 - The suit looks like a slimmed down, rat-faced Heisei Godzilla
66 - I love the suit but honestly it looks terrible
55 - All the intimation from the 54 suit is lost in this suit, way to anorexic

Nope. Only the '89 and '91 land suits and the '94/Burning Godzilla suits are the same, with modifications.

New suits were made in '92, '93, and '94.

That seems like the biggest waste of money..If the '94 Godzilla was a new suit why was the tail falling off?

The suits used for water scenes were built either specifically to be used in the water (like the water suit with the "small" head and mouth that's used briefly in VS. MOTHRA, when Godzilla arrives on Adona Island in VS. MECHAGODZILLA, and when Godzilla and Baby are walking into the ocean at the end) or it's an older (land) suit re-used for water scenes.

I believe the suit that had it's tail flying off in that scene was the BattoGoji ('92), which was the "main" suit from VS. MOTHRA.

Toho HAD to create new suits for each new film. There's no way they'd last more than a couple of films with the punishment they go through. Even the '89 costumes were modified between films.

1. suit from Return of Godzilla (specifically the suit used in the water scenes and final battle with the Super X, it has a thicker neck and better placed fins)
2. The Godzilla '54 suit
3. The GxMG\Tokyo SOS suit
4. The 1964 mosu-goji suit

WORST

1. Final Wars suit (this would've been passable for me if it was used in any other entry that wasn't his 50th anniversary)
2. Son of Godzilla suit
3. Megaro-goji suit, 73-75 (they seriously couldn't make a new Godzilla suit for his 20th anniversary film GvsMG '74?)
4. GRA suit (to baggy and hideous, like if a fan made a costume out of the shodai goji design and didn't get the look quite right)

Agreed. I wish Biogoji (or exact replicas thereof) could've been used for every Heisei movie; none of the others ever looked nearly as good.

The BattoGoji ('92) wasn't too bad, but everything after was kind of hit and miss. The '94 costume seemed like a good medium between the '92 and '93 suits. Not too fat, but not nearly as bad ass looking as the '89 and '91 designs.

Did anybody else miss the smaller eyes he had from in '89'/'91? They were almost too big on the '93 suit, IMO.
