Your Goal as a Godzilla Fan

*Ahem* back on topic...

I once had a goal to obtain Every Godzilla Bandai Vinyl Toy (the regular release versions, not "Forever" or "memorial Box" or any theater/museam special editions). I came so very close. As of 2006 I had them all except for The 1983 Showa King Ghidora. Sadly the next year I chose to sell them all, in order to put a down payment on a home. I kept pics of all of them, and I do miss them at times, but it's not a decision I regret, although it was difficult.

My goal now is basically just to obtain every Godzilla & Toho "Golden Age" Sci-Fi film on DVD/ Blu-Ray as they become available. Exposing my kids to it has been easy although my 6 year old son is more interested than my 7 year old daughter (not enough girl monsters for her LOL!) . But I figure even he will lose interest in time. My dad loves model trains, and I lost interest in that probably around 10 years old. If my son continues to take interest, then thats fine, if not, thats fine too.

If you haven't looked at my avatar and figured it out yet...I don't particularly care about that.

That being said, my actual goals? I don't have one really for being a fan. I do want to use Godzilla for academic purposes.

On topic, now that I think about it, sheer curiosity on the biology of Destoroyah really helped me get through chemistry and molecular biology.

My goals are TO RULE THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already attained my primary goal, and that was to see and own each film in one format or another. My other goals are to see them each in Japanese, and seek out complete collections of the television series, books, and comics that they've spawned. I've got a ways to go on that, I already own Classic Media's three animated Godzilla releases, all the novels of Random House, as well as the complete runs from Marvel and Dark Horse. I haven't seen anything from IDW yet.
