I'm against the power up versions of the breath. If its going to be blue then it should always be blue. Same goes if they decide red. If one instance of breath is strong then another, than I think it should be brighter or thicker or louder. Also against spirals.

But thats just my opinion .

I always liked the heisei atomic breath look, where you see eletrical discharges in red and blue first then ghidorah gets his head blasted off,or alternatively like in godzilla x mechagodzilla where the fins flash first then a concentrated blue stream.

What color should Godzilla's ray be? Should they mix-it-up for the 60th anniversary or keep it old-school? I prefer the blue beam myself. What about you guys?

I think it should only be the blue beam we've been accustomed to since 1962. I prefer the Showa/Heisei sound to the Millennium sound, but maybe my favorite discharge was in GMK where it's almost like he sucked in energy and expels it.

I know what I am about to say is controversial but I think orange/firey/red beam should be the color. As long as it functions like a normal heat ray.

Reason why:

In my past experiences showing Godzilla movies to friends they think he has an ice beam shooting from his mouth. Might come off as confusing to the non-fans. Even though we should not give a crap what non-fans think, having a firey colored heat beam doesn't seem like a change that would damage the character.
