Ya know... I still feel this was just something that Nintendo just spat this out to make the fanboys shut up. Miyamoto has kept this under so much secrecy, I just feel that something like this would have been made, ya know, bigger. I just heard about this about..... 14 hours ago.

Just my opinion on it. Plus, why would they make a timeline based on Link failing when... Ya know, he didn't...

I really never cared for this, so I just looked at the images.

I feel the same way about it. But if it shuts people up, then so be it.

This "Time line" is definitely an interesting read. I always figured that Wind Waker followed Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask, but I also knew that Twilight Princess took place in the same continuity as Ocarina of Time, which was always a bit confusing to me. This finally clears that up.

Maybe I missed something, but did Miyamoto or Aonuma have any hand in putting this together?

After not having nearly enough time to play as I'd like, I'm now on the final stretch of Skyward Sword. Just arrived at the Sky Keep.

To answer the timeline questions, an official Zelda timeline has always existed at Nintendo. I think everyone basically had the past vs. future timeline split figured out, though I don't think anyone had a damn clue that Nintendo had a third split where Link dies.

Normally I don't care at all about continuity in Zelda games, but I think the "Link Fails" branch of the timeline is totally fascinating, and a really ballsy story-telling move on Nintendo's/Aonuma's part. http://shigeruslist.com/2011/12/29/offi ... -timeline/

I didn't know water-based monsters were at all similar to gigantic Moth's.

Actually, I'm tempted to say that Ganondorf/Ganon (in OoT) are just as easy to dispatch as Morpha is.

Nah. Even being able to beat a boss almost flawlessly isn't as easy as a boss that physically doesn't have the capability to harm you.

Sorry if this post is redundant, but I didn't see the Zelda symphony mentioned anywhere else. I'm sure most of you have heard about this by now, but if you haven't, "Hey! There's a Zelda Symphony touring around North America!" Unfortunately it seems to be a pretty strange selection of cities, but if you're on the west coast there's a good chance you'll be able to hit up one of their shows. If you weren't compelled to finish it then, it's doubtful you'll ever finish it.

Calling Ocarina of Time "boring" in a Zelda thread is a new one though. Dem fightin' words yo.

Eh, I do find it to be so.

So, did anyone else enjoy the practically free download of Majora's Mask through Club Nintendo?

Do you have Monster Hunter Tri? If no, pick up the bundle. You'll enjoy the controller even more.

I never finished Majora's Mask. I just ran around as Deku Link and enjoyed the soundtrack. My dad just rented it from Blockbuster for me, anyway. I re-rented it one time, and someone did everything but the last battle, so I just ran around some more, because I couldn't figure anything out.

Shame, he never felt like taking it back, really. We racked up an almost $30 late fee on it.....

Yeah I already have Tri, but I've played MM before, I highly recommend playing it through, use online walkthroughs if you ever get stuck, it's a really great game.

I really wanna play it, but not having 24/7 access to my Wii (ZING) makes it a real PITA.

I played it the year it came out, so.... I was about 7 or 8, so that explains a lot

I bought Links Awakening on the 3DS Shop, it's bring back so many good memories. It was my first Zelda game.

New dates added for the Zelda Symphony tour... most aren't even in my time zone. I'm definitely not bitter. Nope. http://shigeruslist.com/2012/02/24/more ... our-dates/
