GKG'S protective barrier is a light barrier, not force field/shield. Humans can only see a very tiny amount of the actual light in the world. GKG'S barrier uses the energy (light is composed of photons, which carry energy) of an opponents attack to basically diffuse/deflect an attack, making it very much so weaker.

And anti-gravity flight is just a way of saying GKG is capable of manipulating the gravity acting on him. And no, a beam would not send him flying off into space, as the beam would have to have a completely obscene amount of force to send him into space and to counter-act GKG's own inertia/flight/whatever.

Basically, KG is SOL.
