Like the Gamera films Parasite Eve is a Kadokawa Picture not a Toho film.

This is going to be fun! Although, it's embarassing that my collection isn't as big as everyone elses. I don't have any tapes anymore so this is just DVD. I have all 28 Godzilla films on DVD and some other Toho films. I will be getting more Toho films soon.

Gojira(Classic Media 2006)
Godzilla Raids Again(Classic Media 2006)
Rodan and War of the Gargantuas(Classic Media 2008)
Icons of Sci-Fi: Toho Collection(Mothra, The H-Man, Battle in Outer Space) (Sony)
King Kong Vs. Godzilla(Universal)
Mothra Vs. Godzilla(Classic Media 2006)
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster(Classic Media 2007)
Invasion of Astro-Monster(Classic Media 2007)
Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster(Sony)
King Kong Escapes(Universal)
Son of Godzilla(Sony)
Destroy All Monsters(Madman R4 DVD)
All Monsters Attack(Classic Media 2007)
Godzilla Vs. Hedorah(Sony)
Godzilla Vs. Gigan(Sony)
Godzilla Vs. Megalon(Madman R4 DVD)
Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla(Sony)
Terror of Mechagodzilla(Classic Media 2007)
The Return of Godzilla(Universe R3 DVD)
Godzilla Vs. Biollante(Universe R3 DVD)
Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah(Sony)

Since I have all 28 Godzilla movies now, I'm going to get more Toho DVDs soon like Matango, Atragon, Lattitude Zero, and more. I will update this post when I do get these.

Hmm, not sure if the rules say anything about this, but since Toho DVDs are already included, I'm gonna go ahead and turn this into a place where one can add their general tokusatsu (non-Toho) films if they want. If this is a violation of a rule, I encourage anyone who wishes to speak up and perhaps for a mod to move it to a more appropriate section if necessary. So here goes...

I now have the Region 4s of G85 and GvsB.

A fantastic pair of DVDs for their cost.

The movie came before the game, and is based on the book that preceded both of them. The games are actually sequels to the movie.

ADV released it on VHS, I don't know if it was dubbed or subbed.

I think they might have released it on DVD as well.

A quick, rather crappy pic of my main movie shelf.

Image

Top shelf is Godzilla & Kaiju stuff. Kong, Daimajin, Cloverfield, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Mega Piranha, X From Outer Space, Gamera, etc.

2nd is assorted horror and monster stuff.

3rd is video game-based, zombies, werewolves, vampires, ghosts, epics, aliens, and superhero flics

4th is slasher films and VHS behind them

5th is assorted stuff not organized yet: dinosaur flicks, some more ghost and haunting movies, some more alien flicks, and a few epics, comedies, along with more VHS behind them.

I also have a smaller shelf filled with VHS. I want to update all my VHS to DVD by end of 2011.

Just started my first movie collection -I have many books and comics, but the DVD format has been a bit too fragile for my taste, I'm giving it a try-. Three Millenium Gojis:

- Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
- Godzilla Tokio SOS.
- Godzilla: Giant Monsters All Out Attack.

I'm going to order about six Zone 2 DVDs in January with some Heisei/Showa movies. Good stuff.

Picked up the Toho Master Collection Big G Showa set for $24.99 at Hastings. Already had 2 of the movies, but at that price it was still worth it! I'll prob sell the extras of 'Godzilla Raids Again' & 'Ghidorah' back to Hastings for store credit. I have saved SO MUCH money buying movies/books there, on sale, & used! :huge:

Eventually Blu Ray, but DVD isn't that fragile. I have been using Netflix for years, and I have seen some DVDs in terrible condition, and they work just fine. Granted, you have to ctually take care of your DVDs, and not leave them out like coasters. Seriously, people that do that kind of piss me off. A real pet peeve of mine. Funny thing is that it doesn't take any time or hardly any effort to take care of them. All I do is take 3 seconds to check for dust before I slide it into my PS3. I put it back in the case when I'm done. I don't touch the bottom. All in all, putting in the player and taking it out and putting it in the box is like less than 10 seconds of my time. Certainly it takes more effort to actually scratch the disc. (Though, i wouldn't say they are toddler proof as say VHS was. which you could drop and drop and drop and only break if you tried to....but even then, it could easily get jammed in the inside of the VCR).

I could always [i]not[/¡] collect anything, which is something I've been doing up to now. Or hope they start selling USB keys with movies inside, or just another technological bump. But with some movies being somewhat scarce in the current formats I no longer feel the waiting game is a sensible move.

Keep in mind that I have moved to several countries and that I used to be way more chaotic when I was younger, I didn't have the tact nor the economy to back up a decent collection. It's partly an irrational prejudice I have against the format to be fair -I used to like those thought plastic cassets that old video game consoles had-.

I have some DVDs that where produced back in 1997 and STILL run great to this day the only thing you have to worry about with a DVD is if you take sand paper to it.

I have all the Classic Media, Media Blasters, Sony, and Universal discs of the Showa films, and I have the defunct Canadian double bill of Hedorah/Megalon. I also have all of the Millennium films. Truth be told, I'm probably going to get rid of most of these, though. With few exceptions, I vastly prefer Toho's 50s films over anything else in the franchise. I'll be holding on to Godzilla, GRA, Rodan, Varan, Mysterians, and H-man. I'll also keep Mothra, and I'll probably hold on to Frankenstein Conquers the World and War of the Gargantuas and Matango. But everything else is probably going to go to friends in the near future. I could probably get rid of everything and function properly because I've seen all of these films so many damn times they're ingrained in my mind. But I'll keep the ones I listed because I prefer them and they have higher replay value for me.
