2012 X-Plus Vinyl Figures Discussion Thread
A few of us hardcore X-Plus collectors thought it was a good idea to restart the X-Plus thread. Maybe the more appropriate thing to do moving forward is to start a new thread each year, so we can have an updated poll and capture all of the new content being discussed for that particular year?
For those interested, the old X-Plus thread (pre-2012 info) can be found here.
I also started an X-Plus fan appreciation page on Facebook. It's a closed group, only members can see and respond to content. Besides discussion, there are also photo galleries of: each release, all monsters, movies posters, artwork, and more. If you're interested in joining, here's the link... http://www.facebook.com/groups/XPlusGodzillaVinylSeries

Re: 2012 X-Plus Vinyl Figures Discussion Thread
I want King Ghidora, Manda and Rodan. Mecha-King Ghidora, Gabara and Titanosaurus would also be instant purchases for me.

Nice detailed and updated thread!
I think Ghidorah will probably be the big winner in the poll, but because of size may be the last one we see.

Re: 2012 X-Plus Vinyl Figures Discussion Thread
I wonder which will be the first figure to be released that's not on the list. Just seems how it works sometime. I'm guessing Godzilla 54 in the 25cm variety and Burning Godzilla 30cm.

I don't see X-Plus doing very many of the Heisei monsters, but Mecha-King Ghidora would be awesome.

Mecha-King Ghidorah is one of those things that, removed from the plot of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, I don't really see how he could work and not be completely ridiculous.
But holy fuck he looks cool. I'd love to have a toy of that kicking around.

I wonder what x-plus could do with the Final Wars Gigan Powered, with the chainsaws!

No. They're photos of various model kits.

Re: 2012 X-Plus Vinyl Figures Discussion Thread
Unfortunately, you can only have 10 choices with a poll. I struggled a bit with what I was listing, it was tough. I actually removed Mechani-Kong from the line-up because of all of the licensing issues surrounding King Kong, which is exactly why he's not listed either. In actuality, I want everything that's on that Top 10 list plus several not mentioned. So, I guess the good news is that there are still plenty of good choices out there for them to pick from.

The Ghidorah pictured is kaiju freaks' Ghidorah from GTTHM. It's not the DAM version.Brad Simmons wrote:Unfortunately, you can only have 10 choices with a poll. I'll take an X-Plus Ghidora any way I can get it... But I'd much rather have the '64 version that was originally shown here than the '68 version.

Likewise, I'd like a an early Rodan (Radon) but not the 56. I liked the Rodan that appeared in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster, etc..MothraPeanuts wrote:I'll take an X-Plus Ghidora any way I can get it... I bet if X-Plus released the first Rodan they'd mark the box Radon instead. Isn't that what they called him in Japan?

I love the 64 style, but god do I hate the yellow eyebrows. They are so out of place.

I agree. It's the only thing that keeps me from really loving that suit or, at least, the X-Plus toys of them.zilla103192 wrote:I love the 64 style, but god do I hate the yellow eyebrows. They are so out of place.
