Take THAT avengers! (Hell no. There's no way this would ever top Avengers. But whatever, it'd be cool.)

You know what I'd want in terms of a trilogy? Something like Kaneko's Gamera or Nolan's Batman. It doesn't have to be dark, gritty and realistic but GOOD and the best way to do that is one film at a time not worrying about sequels till you know it's gonna happen.

I've thought about that too. It'd be fun to have LP (or Toho) reboot a few Toho monsters and then bring the universes together for a final brawler of a movie. Just a pipe dream though.

I don't want my favourite Godzilla movie to be ruined by Hollywood's douches.

It already was ruined by Toho. GFW was pretty much a DAM remake. It COULD have been good but they dropped the ball on that one big time.

I don't understand how FW is even considered a DAM remake. They are not the same... at all.

DAM- Godzilla and friends are controlled by Aliens, break free and battle Ghidorah in one final fight to the death.

GFW- All monsters BUT godzilla are captured and let loose on major cities, Godzilla shows up. Beats the shit out of every monster one at a time, then he fights Monster X/ Keiser Ghidorah, by himself.
Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

Because it had a shit ton of monsters like DAM. I don't know any other movie that rivals DAM in number of monsters except for GFW.

That's like saying Godzilla vs Hedorah is a remake of Godzilla Raids Again because it has two monsters.

And how many films have 10+ monsters and an alien invasion taking place and cities all over the world being crushed? Two.

Tons of monsters - both
Evil alien race - both
Giant Ghidorah boss - both

The roles of the monsters were different, the alien race isn't the same, but there are undoubtedly hard similarities between the two movies.

In theory, top notch special effects would go great in any giant monster flick, especially a remake of DAM. But, we need the right team of people to pull it off.
This new film has me worried. I'm not sold on the team behind it, and I think its going to be very different than what some of you think. I fear that the wonderful Toho Godzilla Universe element will be missing.

Still doesn't make it a remake though. There are a bunch of movies that aren't remakes that have the same premise.

Maybe. Just keep it far away from the quality of the original. Far, FAR away.

Maybe he just wants it to be drab, slow-moving, generic, and with a total lack of charm. ;)

I trust LP. I really do, either if it sucks or not I just wanna see Godzilla again, knowing that no matter what I'm going to love this film. Just please make Godzilla look like himself or like any of his counterparts.

Anyways, DAM remake can either be made by LP, Weta, or Relativity sense they make heavy SFX films, and they're going to do a good job no matter wht.

If its done like the last movie of a "Posible Trilogy" and done right, then sure why not but now i dont think we should go to far since we havent heard a lot of Godzilla 2014. One step at the time. 8-)
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.
