Not all to big on the Godzilla in the first page you posted... But at least Steven looks okay... Sorta. But the second page looks great, and the third page looks okay too. Anguirus looks mean, but MG is rather questionable.

I'm really starting to like the art style now.

*ducks*

It does actually look pretty good. Sure, may not be the best art out there, but it does show an abstract view of the King of Monsters.

I'm already annoyed that they forgot Anguirus's nasal horn on the 3rd screenshot.

Oh my... Gosh darn it! I should've figured that there was something wrong. Angy just looked too darn Godzilla-like.

God this art is ugly.

I can't stress enough how bad I want this series cancelled.

I will continue to bitch until it happens.

Or until we get a better artist... Which I sadly don't see that happening anytime soon.

But there are plenty of artists out there who can draw Godzilla well. I believe they are just looking for someone who can blend in with Phil Hester's style.

Has anyone ever found out why they hired Santos of all people?

As Primevalgodzilla said, there are plenty of artists out there who can draw Godzilla well. So why get the guy that draws mediocre monsters and ugly people?

^Maybe because he can keep a monthly schedule, works for the pay rate IDW wants to pay an artist, and he probably belongs to the IDW stable of artists. Or just to annoy some of you. I'm sure it's one of those two things...

I'll bet it's the second option.

That would be the worst form of public trolling I've seen, then. :P

^ I hardly ever try to troll people. That probably explains why.

I don't mind the artwork (edit: But damn Steven's puffy face), just the fact that there are better artists out there.

I bought the first 3, and was given #5. I'm gonna get #4 just to fill the gap, then I'm done with this. The covers are VERY misleading as to what is going to transpire.

I found a hard covered "Gangsters & Goliaths" at my local comic shop though. MAYBE I'll by that, since it's a mini-series compilation. I prefer those. Costs less, tells a WHOLE story, ect...

Read this issue today. Its ok with the exception of several plot flaws. Allie didn't know what Godzilla was despite mentioning his name in the prior issue while playing on the motorcycle. Then steven woods backstory on his first encounter with Godzilla which never unfolded in any of the past issues. Despite that it was a good issue

I just got this today, and while I'm still not a fan of the president thing or the art, I was happy. It just seemed like something was actually happening. This one was much better than the last few to me.

Just read it! It's okay, but far from perfect.

Positives:
The shot of Mechagodzilla and Allie playing in the flower field
MG vs Anguirus (both the fight and the art)
Steven Wood's backstory
Ogden finally taking decisive action!
Cliffhanger!

Negatives:
Inconsistencies with plot details!
Why does Woods start having a revenge motive only now?
Some of the art (the reflection of Godzilla's face in the last panel is horrendous)
Disappearance of Anguirus' nasal horn in one panel

Overall score: 6.5/10

My review.
http://destroyers-editorialsandreviews. ... eview.html

If any of you dropped off the series, I'd say start collecting it again. If this issue's any indication, the series could become very good.
Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
