But seriously, you really should understand why people were seeing it as a problem SG. The rules clearly state that images/avatars can't be sexually explicit... that avatar was under that category.

But you see crap like that on Dragon Ball forums like MFG (When it was still around) and Dragon Ball has the same age group that Godzilla does (4-16). If people don't like these avatars then don't look at them! Just scroll past them since it's not that hard to do since I remember always scrolling past MM's sig on the old forums.

But seriously, you really should understand why people were seeing it as a problem SG. The rules clearly state that images/avatars can't be sexually explicit... that avatar was under that category.

This topic showed me that the term "sexually explicit" is highly skewed among members.

For instance, I view a "sexually explicit" avatar to be one of a woman who's 100% uncovered and naked, flaunting her nipples and clit like a male peacock. On the other hand, some of the bitchers in this topic would likely consider an avy of a woman who has her ANKLES showing to be too "sexually explicit" and "offensive".

DBZ makes a little more sense for things like that, in anime traditionally, there are a lot more scenese depicting women with large, bouncy breasts.

This is Godzilla, not something traditionally know for that sort of stuff. You might expect to see something like that in a DBZ forum, but again, not in a Godzilla, Dr. Who, Star Wars or LOTR forum.

"Sexually explicit" or not, your old avatar would be considered pornography, which is against the rules of the forums. That's why most people believe that boob avatars shouldn't be allowed.

My original issue wasnt the avatars themselves, it was how people seemed to be jumping on bandwagon and i thought it was pretty lame. But even now, that doesnt make this issue of "is it too explicit" any less true.

TO EVERYONE WORRIED ABOUT AVATARS OF ANY SORT: You can set it so it doesn't show avatars.
It's as simple as this:
1. Click on your User Control Panel
2. Under Options, click Board Preferences
3. Click Edit Display Options
4. Display Avatars? Set to NO

I think I missed some ??? and Profit! in those steps but you get the idea.
So if you're someone that has issues with others avatars, no matter what the avatar may be, please follow those 4 steps. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Bull. How many LOTR, Doctor Who or Star Wars forums do you go to? I know plenty of Whovians who have naughty words in their profanity. I've also seen Star Wars fans called "skreeonk stupid" on forums for certain unpopular opinions.

I've been on a forum for an E10+ game series for years and we've had furries, religious fundamentalists, political radicalists and not to mention a porn spammer problems for years.
