Pornographic Avatars

To my understanding, pornographic images & videos are forbidden on the forum (which I fully agree with). However, lately I have seen users with avatars that are definitely pornographic (e.g. Yaburu, Spirit Ghidorah). Is this not contradictory and hypocritical, especially for a moderator??

yaburu's (nor mine when I had it) were pornographic.

SG2010's, if you look at it at full size has a nipple slip, but resizing it doesnt allow it to be seen because of the resolution.

The word pornographic can be used to describe alot of things. Basically any medium that induces a state of arousal, or meant to raise a state of arousal is considered pornographic.

Sexual suggestive and pornagraphic are *shock gasp* two different things. Yes there avatars are risky but as far as I can tell you can't see anything. There avatars are no worse then going to the beach and seeing women wearing swim suits.

I don't really consider them porngraphic, nudity is really not shown in Yab's and SG's is to small to see the nip slip

Doesnt need to be nude. The word is very broad but common sense dictates that a girl acting like a tart does not mean someones posting XXX rated material

Some of them are, and to be honest I'd rather not have someone walk past my computer as I'm reading a post with a picture next to it of bouncing boobs. But you know what, this forum isn't built to any one person's specs and isn't against the rules so there's little I can do other than say I would simply prefer it isn't that way. Obviously it hasn't affected how often I decide to log on. It is what it is.

You can set the forums so they don't show avatars for that same reason. But I do see exactly what you mean, I happen to try and shoot down the page as soon as Brit or one of my parents walk past my computer. Just because I don't want to deal with "whatcha doin there Honey/Dillon/Bud???"

But reguardless, I don't mind them. I think it can be pretty funny sometimes too.

The answer is yes, they are pornographic. The issue that arrises is that because this site allows users under the age of 18, Anthony can get into serious legal trouble if someone were to complain to the right people. Just because the likelyhood of such a thing happening is low doesn't mean you should be lax about it.

There's no actual nudity. But God damn are they obnoxious. Holy shit, big bouncing boobs . As others have said, we're here to discuss Japanese monsters, not try to one-up each other other with who has the best avatar of big, fake, jiggling titties. As someone else just said, I don't really feel comfortable seeing those meat bags shaking around if I'm viewing this board with other people in the room.
