Who hasn't seen all the Godzilla films?

For discussions covering more than one Toho film or show that span across more than one “era.”

Who hasn't seen all the Godzilla films?

Postby PopInPicsPresents » Mon Nov 14, 2011 12:12 pm

While reading through a few old posts I come across a few members who haven't seen all of the Godzilla films. I don't know why but this struck me as odd. Personally I've seen and own all of the Godzilla films. My question to you guys is, who hasn't seen all of the Godzilla films and which haven't you seen?

I am one, there are many I haven't seen including, Godzilla vs Biollante, Godzilla Raids Again, Ghidah, the three headed monster.

This is mostly because not only am I too poor to activly buy them, but other things I need (More important things) usually overshadow them around christmas and b day

Why would it be odd? There's 28-29 movies.

I don't know why it struck me as odd, I mean most of the people on the forum are older then me, I'm 15 gonna be 16 Friday, and I've seen all the films so I just thought it odd that some people here haven't seen all the movies.

But again, it's a franchise approaching 30 films that has often had issues with availability to consumers. That's a ton of movies and people are often just not going to see that many foreign movies so easily. Some of them are hard enough to find and it's not a series you can easily see much of on Netflix or through Redbox. Most rental places will only carry a few, if at all. Movies stores rarely sell them. There's also variations in taste. Some people like the old ones and thus have little interest in seeing the Heisei or Millennium movies, and vice versa. A lot of this creates fans who have not seen a number of the movies.

Plus, some people probably are just new to the franchise, or don't have the proper funds available, or maybe just not as hardcore as you and many of us here. Up until a couple of months ago, I had never seen Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster. It was the only one I hadn't seen, but I was just getting re-introduced to the franchise and hadn't really had an itch to see it up until that point.

But on topic, I have seen all of them. :D

I've seen them all, but haven't viewed Megalon, Return and Biollante in so long it's gonna seem like the first time when they eventually get released.

Just to add something else, GRA and Ghidorah sealed the deal for me when that great Classic Media boxset came out. Best X-mas ever.

You guys do know you can buy legit copies of GRA, GvsBiollante and GvsKG91 on either VHS or DVD, right?

It's called eBay. Use it.

I dislike ebay.

One day I hope to see them all, I steadily getting there. Seen all the millenium series movies, need to see two of the Heisei series, and probably around 6-8 of the showa.

VHS' are ancient relics of a bygone age and I'd rather be patient/dumb and wait for official Reg1 releases when it comes to DVDs/Blu-rays.

Pfft, LaserDisc. skreeonk' poser. :P

Anyway, used DVDs are a great way to get many of the films. Not to mention Classic Media's titles are on Netflix streaming, and most of those owned by Sony are on Crackle (Godzilla vs the Sea Monster and some of the others aren't - Mostly the Showa ones I think. But the Heisei and Millennium ones are).

Im sorry, what?

eBay is probably THE largest medium to get shit online. Im pretty sure its more active and has more volume then Amazon. How can you NOT like eBay? Ive been on 11 years now and have NEVER lost money (Ive had some deadbeat sellers but eBay covers that shit).

Seriously, WTH?
