Slim down the size of the screen and redesign it into more of a Gamecube style controller but with screen support.

Kill the backwards compatibility between the WiiU Controller and WiiMotes and make it so you may have more than 1 WiiU Controller support on the console. But still enable the use of the WiiMote on Wii titles.

Take time to go in and make sure as hell the tech doesnt skreeonk up like the lazer disc reader in the Wii and is ready to play without problem on launch day.

Kill gimmicks and just give us a Next Gen Nintendo with HD support gaming console.

Add a Holiday Bonus with he console that adds a game with the console on launch (Wii Sports style game).

1st Party Launch titles:

Mario (Platformer)
Legend of Zelda
Super Smash Bros. 4
Mario Kart
Kirby (1-3,64, Adventure style game)

Doing that would just delay the system further too. It's pretty much a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. Nintendo shoudl have thought things through a bit.

I take it we won't see the Wii U until next Fall since around Spring time. That's a shame since I was hoping that the Wii U would be the perfect 21 birthday gift to me.

I rather have a Great system with a good line up of Launch titles in time for the holiday season than a sysytem released during the middle of the year when im broke and unable to buy it.

Atleast during the HOliday season people would go ape and buy more than one $60 game and a $300-400 system seeing how there will be deals and etc to help them out buy more for less.

With a good launch titles it would give Nintendo a better rep along the community .

Nintendo's major problem with systems and handhelds are that the jump before looking and dont fully think about the idea and not go to far from the "gimmick"(3DS).

I doubt we will see Smash Bros 4 as a launch title by next year. The chances are that they are just started working on it and we won't see any info on it until next year's E3.

The Wii U does need a great amount of games at launch. I'm pretty sure Arkham City is gonna be a launch title, not sure though.

With it coming out next month they yeah I can see it being a launch title for the Wii U, chances are it'll be the same as the PS3/Xbox 360 but with Wii U controller support that is if Nintendo can get the tablet controller to work. :P

Rumor: UK release date for the Wii U on July 20th

http://www.screwattack.com/news/british ... -july-20th

It's just a rumor but I doubt it's official. I still hope for a April 2012 release.

I'm going with the last Sunday in March myself. Lately Nintendo has been launching systems in that time frame starting with the DSi though with the rumor issues they had a few months ago it could be pushed back to June.

Depending on the launch line up will determine if I get the system or not right away.

It'll look like shit most likely.

I don't see the Wii-U being released before more E3 hype with more games. If anything, It'll be released in time for Christmas next year. Releasing it prior to that isn't that bright because it won't be the "must have" item for that part of the year.

Looks like the Wii U won't be out before June 2012

http://wii.ign.com/articles/121/1210924 ... ce=twitter

Because they'll be showing it's final form off at E3, well they could still release it then but like Chris said it'd probably have a fall release so it can be the Christmas item of 2012.

I'm glad, after buying the 360 at launch, I don't want any other rushed consoles.

I was hoping it would be around $400 but I don't think I will be buying one until later if it's true.

Told you guys it would be expensive. The technology to do some of the stuff that Nintendo demonstrated and talked about with the Wii U is neither simple nor cheap to do.

It's not really a rumor if multiple sources are confirming the price. These same sources were the ones who reported the 3DS was going to be expensive when it first came out, and it was. The Wii U has too much technology involved in just its controller to be only $400. I'm willing to bet the value of the controllers are $100 or more. The system has to be quite powerful to be able to stream two feeds of the game to the controllers (or so says the link posted earlier).

Like I said, the system has a lot going on with the hardware involved. If Nintendo wants to make any profit on each sale of the Wii U they will have to charge quite a hefty price until the cost of hardware decreases.

Well considering that the gaming tablet annouced at CES is going to be about $1000 then yeah I can see this being close to $600 as well since the Wii U's controller is basically a gaming tablet.
