Or you can add attacks like you can do in the Budokai games as well (You can add Godzilla's Spiral Ray or Nuclear Pulse as Godzilla 90's ultimate attack).

Spiral Ray shouldnt be an Upgrade but more of a powered up version of his normal beam just after absorbing a cetain amount of energy.

Heres a small list of what Godzilla needs:

Super Regeneration: Restores 2x the normal health you gain back

Nuclear Pulse:

Radiation absorb: Normal Beams from other monsters only do half of normal damage, Aborbs energy from power plants and certain buildings faster without having to destroy them.

Electrical Ground: Conducts damaging Energy to other monsters via touch.(Only does it after a Three hit combo or holding another monster for more than Three Secs.)

But there should be other monsters that have abilitys that can counter other ones aswell, Im busy so I cant really right them all but you get what I mean.

My ideal roster would be GU's minus the original monsters and add in
-Hedorah
-Kumonga
-Gorosaurus
-Zilla
-Monster X

Also improve MG74, G90s and G54 to make them more unique as well as patch up some monsters like King Caeser ie give him his eye reflection or the idea of having to use his beam.

Ditch the Apcalypse setting or at least give us the option to play in normal cities and also leave the game in the oven for a little longer.

Or better yet if it helps improve the game then put like 16-18 monsters from the get go then do DLC monster and city packs.

Excellent ideas gvamp. That is also a realistic list of monsters that would be added if they wanted to have "everybody" (minus Toho Kong, Mechani-Kong, Kamacuras, Ebirah, and a few lesser known kaiju). I feel that Hedorah and Zilla would be absolute musts.

I think the idea of starting with a smaller amount of characters (Under 20..so the game didn't take forever to develop and play test) and offer monsters and cities later along as DLC, is a smart one. I realize that having to possibly pay for your favorite monster later down the line doesn't sound too attractive to most people, but it would probably make for a much more balanced game play experience to have less monsters at first, and have more added later.

They need to make the arenas bigger, and try to give them more of a realstic feel to them. For the next game, all of the characters should be at the same size that they are in the movies and you should able to change their size before the battle starts if you want.

Not that big though, I hate when people are just running away, there is no point for bigger stages.

People want more then just fighting though. Maybe attack power plants or rescue Baby Godzilla from G-Force.

But I want a realstic feel in the next game, I want a Godzilla game where you fight across the whole city with no limits.

Oh there can be stages made for that, the boundaries can be increased depending on the mode, for a 1 on 1 vs match, Unleashed's size is good enough.

I still like the idea of making the monsters the same size as they where in the movies. And you can change the size of the monster if you want before the battle starts (For example make G2k/GXM will be 50 metters if you put him against SpaceGodzilla who will be 110 metters unless you scaled them up before the battle starts).

It will make things more realstic, and fun. I hope they remove the awful camera view in four player mode.

Okay. This one's simple.

Story, Arcade and Rampage Modes. Story mode is a series of missions that can be played as Godzilla, Arcade is your traditional fighter, and Rampage is destruction with a time limit depending on the city.

Monsters would be Godzilla, Anguirus, Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Destoroyah, MechaGodzilla, Gigan, Megalon, SpaceGodzilla, Hedorah and Biollante. Small roster, but it has all of the fan favorites and the only monsters I could imagine being clones are the Godzillas. Godzilla would be a hybrid of the G90s and G2K designs. Anguirus and Hedorah would have their Showa appearances, Mothra and Gigan are Millennium, everyone else is Heisei. Godzilla 1954 would be available for a single story mission since his moveset would not be unique. Same for Burning Godzilla. Occasionally, a level will require you to play as a different monster, but you'll still be Godzilla roughly 90% of the time. MechaG would be faithful except for eyebeams and finger missiles for the sake of a little fun. All monsters would be on a 60 meter scale.

Cities would only include film locations... Tokyo, Osaka, New York, Sydney, Outskirts, Monster Island, etc. There'd be day and night variations, as well as a separate apocalyptic variation.

Missions would each be based slightly on a film storyline... examples of one for each, but there'd be three or so variations of each, and story mode would randomly select one of the variations. The basic storyline would involve the Global Defense Force's attempts to exterminate Godzilla using MechaGodzilla while other monsters crop up. Keep note though, the missions wouldn't be 100% faithful, so there would some changes for the sake of gaming interest, particularly with films involving monsters not ingame i.e. MechaGodzilla duology would still use Heisei version, Titanosaurus/Jet Jaguar, etc. would be replaced.

Each level would unlock a small reward - a new monster for Arcade Mode, a new arena for either Arcade or Destruction mode, a piece of concept art, a trailer, etc.

Mission Examples:

Day 1: Up From the Depths
Base: Gojira
Boss: N/A
Reward: Unlocks Tokyo for Destruction Mode.
Destroy as much of Tokyo as possible within the time limit (X minutes) while playing as Godzilla 1954, without the military depleting your health. Then, return to the sea in the time allotted again without losing your full health bar.
Variations:
- Regular: night-time; B&W; full area and regular time; military on way
- Daytime: color; less of the arena and less time total; military already present

Day 2: Counterattack
Base: Godzilla Raids Again
Boss: Anguirus
Reward: Unlocks Osaka for Destruction Mode. (Note: Anguirus is unlocked later.)
Defeat Anguirus on Monster Island before fleeing to Osaka; destroy as much of Osaka as possible in the time allotted without your health being depleted by the military; defeat Anguirus again at the Osaka Castle without being killed.
Variations:
- Regular: night-time; B&W; full area; military
- Oceanic: First battle takes place in an open water level rather than on Monster Island
- Arcade: night-time, color, partial area, no military.

So on and so forth. I'll put up more examples as time goes.

This is a idea that I had in media for a story mode. I can see this working for the main story for Showa, Heisei, G2k, GXM, GMK, Kiryu saga, and FW. G98 will be a bouns story mode for Zilla as well.

I despise DLC. That shit is unavailable to me, so much that it's completely unfair.

GU Critical Mass Upgrade Ideas

Postby KiryuFreak » Sat Sep 04, 2010 5:26 pm

In GU, when you reach Critical Mass it shouldn't just be glowing red. Here's a list of ideas.

1. Godzilla (all three versions)-enter meltdown mode.
2. Kiryu-eyes turn red.
3. Biollante-all vines can shoot sap.
4. All monsters-special attack. (Such as in STE.)
5. Gigan-arms can shoot cables like in GFW.

Didn't list all monsters but just an idea of how GU can be upgraded.

Unless you plan on giving Godzilla a blade, I can't see it happening.
