Maybe just a crappy design? I don't remember the G2K and Megaguirus G suits having that issue; maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

The material the suit was made of, and the way it was sculputed, I'm presuming.

That's kind of what I figured. I wonder what material they used.

They were okay, except for the arm/shoulder movement. When he was roaring and putting his arms out, it looked like a Bandai figure, going straight out.

I prefer the S.O.S version with the scar on his chest, it looks pretty badass to me

To me, I always loved the GFW suit. Don't know why, I just loved it.

Then I love the G2k suit almost as much, if not, just as much.

^ That would be Mire-Goji. It's pretty good overall, but kind of stiff. I am also put off slightly by the facial design.

EDIT: I just watched Godzilla 2000 again, and I have to agree that the Mire-Goji suit is pretty good. The facial design is better than I remembered, and is pretty convincingly ferocious. I like how gnarly & spiky his skin is, and overall the body is pretty well proportioned, giving a convincing appearance of mass without being overly bulky or fat. However, the suit is pretty stiff (not as bad as the Heisei suits, though), and I still think the face could use a little tweaking.

GXm/S.O.S! however I really REALLY love the Final wars design, the face does'nt bother me much at all. Its that his spines seem too small to me. Overall tho I love the Final wars design as it reminds me very much of the '68 suit, wich is prob my fav showa design. The GXM suit is great, I always loved the big dino teeth on him. Its very dragon like, Tho if I had my way i would put the Heisei Biogoji spines on both suits, and then they would be near perfect.

^ I'm not sure I can picture Gira-Goji with the Heisei plates, but I fully agree that they would work well on Final-Goji.

Final-Goji's face doesn't bother me much either, but it could use a little tweaking.

I concur. I also believe the S.O.S. suit was awesome. I liked the color much better than the 2000/XM suit.

Kiryu-Goji took the Mire-Goji design and greatly improved it, in my opinion.

From favorite to least:
GMK - Actually one of my Top 5. I also like how well it's composited into the real backgrounds.
G2K/GXM - I'm kinda warming up to this one. What stop it from being one of my favorites is (and has always been) the posture.
GxMG/Tokyo SOS - Feels like cheaper version of the above.
GFW - Not as terrible as other aspects of the film, but still nothing noteworthy.
Every film should have at least one animal attack.

I couldn't agree more. Other than the ugly snaggletooth look, his posture made him looked hunched over all the time, and it just didn't look right to me. He looked like he had scoliosis or something.

I just thought I'd mention this: I'm surprised at how many people like the Heisei Godzilla suit but dislike Final-Goji, when the two are remarkably similar. The latter is simply a slimmed-down, far more flexible version of the former, with a new head and spines. I agree that the spines are bad, but otherwise it's a pretty good suit.

If he had trouble walking, would that indicate that he has poliosis?
