The Showa Timeline Toon was incredible. I especially loved the cameos of the older designs. So many amazing meta-references... but the DAM spoof was the best part by far and above. And Titanosaurus got his old voice back! And came out of the closet...

And finally, finally King Ghidorah has found himself a role in these things.

4 toons in the same day!?

He was in one of the Star Wars parodies.

I loved King Ghidorah constantly knocking Godzilla to the ground.

Still, even in Vega's games and such, KG's almost always been a relative bit-player compared to his film self.

Don't worry, there's a half-speed version of Nyandeutalios.

...which makes me wonder if Vega does the voice naturally, if only because the half-speed voice sounds too slow to be the original speed

I couldn't make justice to the last toons, so I'll just let them be. I wonder if there is a biger version of the Toon Bios new banner, to play Where is Waldo.

Thanks for all the accolades, everyone! I'm glad so many people enjoyed the October 28th Quad-Toon Update :huge:

Actually, the Half-Speed version is me doing the voice without speed adjustment. As an added piece of trivia, the unaltered version was originally going to be Deutalios' voice when I debuted the character back in '07, but then I tried increasing the speed on Sound Recorder (which is what I used prior to Audacity). I liked his hyperness so much that I kept the speed increase.

Double-speed can drastically alter a voice, so Deutalios has been difficult to understand at times. That's why I have to make myself talk slowly so that when I speed up the track, he sounds more articulate. I think I did my best job of making him understandable in Fantasy Archipelago ;) .

Much less stressful on your voice that way, I'm sure!

Any changes made to do Gabara or Monster X's voices, since they seem to have taken a bit of a dark horse role as the main characters besides Godzilla's family? I believe you said in the past you had to alter pitch to do him and Anguirus.

You're right about Godzilla and Anguirus, they both require a 29% pitch decrease.

On the other hand, Gabara and Monster X don't require pitch or speed adjustments. I think that Gabara was just me unconsciously mixing Myron Reducto (of Harvey Birdman fame), Davy Jones (of Pirates of the Caribbean fame), and Emperor Palpatine (of Star Wars fame). Monster X is just a straight impression of Plankton (of Spongebob fame), with a touch of Sean Connery for texture :) .

Nice to know there's real voice acting going on and not just pitch changes :D I have to say, you do quite a one-man show in the voice department.

What (character) voice is closest to your normal one?

I have to say I'm Enjoying the new character designs for the most part. I just have one little nitpick: Titanosaurus's yellow "belly scales" should extend down his tail, not end at his waist.

I'd say Shockirus is probably the closest of the monsters, but Gosuke Shimizu from Sexy Grandpa (aka, the "Saeko, your cookie was right!" guy) is probably the closest of all to my natural voice :) .

You'd actually be surprised how few of the characters require electronic pitch adjustment. The female monsters almost invariably require some pitch increase, with the notable exceptions being Celebi and Kumonga (although Celebi's voice is meant to sound androgynous and Kumonga's original voice from Kumonga's Ice Skates was a cameo by my Mom).

In fact, Deutalios, Varan, Godzilla, Anguirus, and Giant Sea Snake are the only male monsters I can think of who require pitch changes.

Robots get double-tracked for a metallic sound, but they don't receive any pitch adjustment (yes folks, I do Moguera without pitch increase).

Iris has a unique audio adjustment. I add a tremolo effect to give him that distinctive Colonel Klink timbre.

I paused the last toon just when Majin Condor was converting everyone in chocolate, just before they morph, when they are covered by th blue ray, there was one certain character that kept moving...

MOGUERA's drills were pretty short. The easter egg was really the best part IMO
