What... No, you didn't listen... I said I personally find it a good movie... I just don't think it is perfect movie... -_-

I don't mean to be offensive, but are you kidding??? If any Godzilla films are worthy of being called perfect, they are Gojira, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and Son of Godzilla.

Final Wars on the same level as Citizen Kane  ? That's a good one that's like saying AVPR is on the same level as The Shining (1980) or Battlefield Earth on the same level as The Ten Commandments (1956). I can't tell if you where joking or being serious?

If any Godzilla films are worthy of being called perfect, they are Gojira, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and Son of Godzilla.

If any Godzilla films are worth of being called perfect, it would be Gojira (1954). It's the only Godzilla movie that has been listed down as one of the best movies ever made and aesthetically significant.

I thought he was smart too...this just destroyed that rep and pissed on its ashes. -_-

In short, GFW is NOT a perfect film. It's horrible in comparison to the other movies you listed...im sorry, but what the hell are you on?

This isn't a Final Wars thread, people, and even if it were there are several different ways you can argue with a guy without being an asshole. Take it elsewhere.

The Wild Bunch, got bored... Chinatown, bored again...

I think this was more shocking than the assertion that Final Wars was perfect. Well, almost more shocking.

Dude... I saw them when I was like... what... 5 or 6...
Of course I would of been bored...
If you are talking about the old ones that is... (found out there is a remake of The Wild Bunch...)

I worshiped The Wild Bunch by the time I was eight...I was already a western fan, however. And there's a newer movie with the same title, but no, no Wild Bunch remake yet. Still, if Hollywood is willing to remake Straw Dogs, this disaster must be currently in development.

Dude... I really don't like westerns at all... There are only two that I like... The Outlaw Joesy Wells, and True Grit (the new one)

When I first saw the Gamera trilogy, I thought the films were awesome; in particular, I though Incomplete Struggle was probably the best kaiju film I had ever seen.

I recently re-watched the trilogy; and I'm sorry to say, G3 doesn't hold up as well as I remembered. The story is good, but its presentation is poor. The characters feel very flat, and the film kind of drags when the kaiju aren't on the screen.

I still don't consider Gamera's fight with Irys awful, since the human characters are the focus, but I didn't feel for the characters as well as I should have, I think.

I hold to my statement that Asakura & Kurata would have worked better as a single character.

As for the climactic fight, I don't think it's as stupid as some are making it out to be. Here's my evaluation:
At this moment, Gamera is having his energy(blood?) drained, and Irys is preparing to shoot him at point-blank range; so Gamera is in double trouble. Although Gamera could have just shot Irys in the face, he probably realized that doing so would have little effect. Instead, by blasting off his own hand, he could both cut off Irys's energy supply AND let Gamera use Irys's own weapon against him.

Anyway, I still consider G3, and the trilogy in general, to be among the best films the genre has to offer. However, the third film is probably the weakest of the three.
(Actually, I'm starting to like Gamera the Brave more than all three. :o )

I like Gamera the Brave, but I prefer the trilogy. G3 is a bit boring when the monsters aren't around, but when they do come into play, it's down right epic! My second favourite, after G2.

Gamera the Brave is much like GMK in that it has some rather significant blemishes that are annoying, but overall they're fantastic films. GtB is better then anything from the Millennium series and alot more tightly written and sensible then Gamera 3 for sure.
