Ahhh yes Resident Evil, the series that brought survival horror like no other. Whether it was RE1, RE2, RE3, RE4, RE5 or even RE0 oh and who can forget Code Veronica X, Survival and Outbreak 1 and 2, these games were fun and could always scare the shit out of people. Maybe not so much 4 or 5 but still. My personal favorite is 4, it really fixed almost every problem from the older games, but it still maintained that level of creepiness, Regenerators? I shit myself almost. Oh and who could forget this?



Other peoples thoughts and opinions?

Favorite villain: Dr. Marcus because he caused the outbreak in the first place so in a sense if it wasn't for him there wouldn't even be Resident Evil.

Also I can understand people saying RE5 is not scary because I've played it and it really didn't even try but I never understand why people keep saying RE4 isn't scary. Are you shitting me? That was one of the scariest games I've ever played along with Doom 3.

Dude RE4, Regenerators were insane! The way they breathed, I was like "HOLY SH-!!!!" when I shot it's leg out and it jumped up at me! And the wolves are pretty damn menacing in RE4.

Dude, how could you forget Code Veronica, or RE:Survival? Or Outbreak? Outbreak was cool, but clunky.
Anywhoo, my favorite is RE4. I loved the complete overhaul of the gameplay, and it just felt fluid. But RE2 will always and forever hold a special place in my heart for making me fall off my chair in front of my then girlfriend/now wife all those years ago. Mr.X busting out of the library not even a minute after you thought you left him for dead.
Yeah, didnt see that coming, and my wife still cracks on me for that from time to time.

Yeah, RE4 is the most fun, but RE2 is the best of them all, RE is the scariest, RE Nemesis is like an extension of 2, only, in my opinion, a bit more annoying.

RE: Veronica I haven't finished but it as good as expected, RE0 is pretty awesome, RE was in need of different personalities. RE5 was the definite worst, it's still a good game but it's not scary at all, it feels slower, Chris ain't that cool, Neo as a boss was kinda silly and well, overall, not as impressive as any of the prequels.

I heard the New reboot is gonna be like the older ones with the door loading sequences and that. I tried RE0 and I never really got into it.

Yeah, I couldnt get into the demo for RE5, so I figured it was just the demo. That all the kinks would be worked out in the end. I rented RE5, and I took it back the same day. Worst of them all.

I think what they should try for a Resident evil is a choice of camera like change between first person or the camera look of the old games. Like use a button that's not used for anything ansd at the press of a button change of camera.

I think they need to take RE4 and add in the fear factor of RE1, that would be the ultimate game for this series

I really hoped they would have done that on the Gamecube. RE1 remake, and RE0 were freaking cool. I didnt beat any of them, but cool none the less.

Yes, There's also the New Darkside Chronicles which I haven't gotten the chance to play yet but I guess it's good too.

While RE2 is technically (in all respects) the better game, the original is and will always be my favorite; it's the perfect b-movie experience. 3 and Code Veronica are fine. Survivor is unplayable. Haven't played Survivor 2. Survivor 4 is average. Remake is nice, if unnecessary, and Zero introduces needless plot elements that obviously weren't there to begin with and ultimately complicate the overall narrative about as much as 4 and 5 do. Both Outbreaks lack a solid single-player experience. Some would call 4 innovative, but I call it uninspired and, save for some characters, the game really has no business being an RE sequel proper, and 5 is pretty ridiculous. Man, the continuity in this franchise is a mess.

I've liked every game in the series. RE2 is the best. RE4 is overrated and RE5 is too. But, both games are kind of fun so I still enjoy playing them even if they aren't Resident Evil games.
