The whole point of the thread is for you to write about how you would integrate the monster(s) of your choosing into the film, not for you to just post the names of monsters you want to see.

If that's the point of the thread, it probably needs a different title. For example, "Which Monster(s) Would You Choose and How Would You Implement Them". But the thread title is HIGHLY misleading. I don't think Legion was listing monsters he WANTS to see, he was listing monsters that are likely. And he really doesn't need to explain why those three monsters are likely, it's quite obvious.

LIKELY kaiju co-stars implies that we're thinking about monsters that will MOST LIKELY show up in the film. In which case, it would be Ghidorah, Rodan, Anguirus, possibly Mothra, and a smaller chance of MechaGodzilla. Just by their sheer popularity.

Doubt it. He's not even that popular of a monster. I'd say Baragon is a safer bet.

I would choose 3 of the following monsters.

1- GINO: Although I won't use the monster for a big part but only to acknowledge that poor attempt of a american Godzilla movie and clear the record that this is the real, new and improved Godzilla. For those of u thinking its already been done in GFW, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT WAS DONE IN THAT MOVIE. Plus I won't make it another Godzilla vs Zilla but instead have GINO's carcass wash ashore with wounds from Godzilla.

2- Anguirus- Would add this monster to have the military fight it off and eventually neutralize it with high tech weapons. In this way Godzilla will seem more powerful when overcoming the same weapons and wiping them out.

3- Cloverfield Monster- Why not? Its a monster which deserves to be acknowledge in the kaiju universe. Its also something fresh and unexpected. Since it isn't clear what happens after the events of Cloverfield the story can go anywhere so it can turn out that the Cloverfield monster survived the hammer down protocol and returned to the sea. At this time I really wouldn't know how to incorporate the Cloverfield monster in this film but I'm sure a good creative team can think up something.

1: If you really want people to forget about GINO then you're better off not reminding people of him. You don't need to dig up GINO again just to show people what Godzilla is capable of. It's been 10+ years, let time allow him to fade from peoples memory instead of reminding them.

2: Sounds good. Still like to see them fight.

3: Clover is cool but sadly J.J. Abrams said he won't do a crossover because he wants Clover to be his own thing. Though I fail to see how a crossover would suddenly make Clover not "his own thing." Though somehow I get the feeling if the latest U.S. Godzilla reboot is huge and makes a ton of money then he's gonna change his mind and say "I was just joking guys, I've always wanted to do a crossover honest." Plus Toho only really shows interests in doing crossovers with something they see as being very popular world wide to get more money hence King Kong vs Godzilla and the unmade Batman vs Godzilla and while known I don't think Clover is nearly as big.

1. Anguirus - He's Godzilla's first enemy. You have to admit, staying true to that and having him be the first villain in a reboot would be awesome. Godzilla/nuclear bombs/humanity brings more than one monster out of hiding and they butt heads, that would blend together very well. He also looks like a dinosaur as opposed to a Pokemon, so more people who aren't familiar with Godzilla would be able to take him seriously. And we have to remember, Anguirus is organic (doesn't have overthetop sci-fi origins). He doesn't need a whole lot of setup or build up. If someone like Space Godzilla/Mechagodzilla/Biollante/Jet Jaguar was used, it would become a movie about them as opposed to being a movie about Godzilla.

2. King Ghidorah - Godzilla's most famous enemy. No brainer. When you think Godzilla monsters, you think mother ****in King G. It's like Batman and Joker. The Godzilla conflict happens, a cloverfield conflict happens simultaneously, the main human characters are effected by both situations, then a climactic fight scene between these two things that stomp on entire school buses of people? Written by the guy who wrote The Dark Knight, directed by the guy who made Monsters (BEAUTIFUL ASS MOVIE, HOLY ****), with a huge budget, and American CGI? This could be our only chance to get something like this out of Godzilla. They might as well make it the best they possibly can.

3. Bagan - Scrapped Godzilla monster. This would show an insane amount of respect to the fans. And since he was scrapped, they're able to take a bit of creative liberties with him and not piss the fans off. I'm not sure how i'd make him appear. Maybe just come out and attack Godzilla because he won't keep it down next door.

4. Rodan or Mothra - Some of Godzilla's earliest foes and most famous. Lot of the same reasons Anguirus.

5. Manda, Varan, Kumonga - Some of Godzilla's more obscure villains. Like Ra's al Ghul and Scarecrow, I think it would be interesting to see. Very fresh. Haven't been given a whole lot of chance to shine. And they're creatures that i could have seen appearing in Peter Jackson's King Kong. They're basically like animals. Just cross paths with Godzilla and humans once in a while and attack out of instinct. They don't hog the story or nothing. Either of these three would look friggin beautiful in a hollywood re-imaging.
