But... the co-op of the campaign in WfC wasn't very good, anyway. It was online co-op, remember? Two people couldn't play on the same system at the same time.

I personally don't care for split-screen. How does it only being online co-op make it bad?

Oh, well. The game will still be awesome without it.

I never finished "War for", but after reading the GI article and seeing the VGA teaser I am really excited for this game.

That's seriously a really good trailer. Amazing song, editing, and action. That's how you sell a video game.

I completely agree. It kinda puts Mr. Bay's work to shame really.
But it will be interesting (this game), mainly because Megatron and Optimus never fought or encountered each other face to face before in War for Cybertron. And it seems that in this upcoming game that they might.

Agreed! I haven't played WFC and while I am pretty upset at the stuff Bay crams into his films, I've never hated TFs none have I been a HUGE fan. But this trailer looks astounding! I really want to play the first game now!

WfC is a really fun, really pretty game. Gameplay's kinda shallow (who knew), story's kinda thrown together (again), but it was sort of an experiment, so I can forgive that.

However, I fully expect this game to be enthralling.

Grimlock Is King - And No Bozo - In New "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" Gameplay Trailer
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=38271

From what we've seen so far, Activision's "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" is shaping up to be a huge upgrade over its predecessor "War For Cybertron," featuring a thrilling campaign, an all-new game engine that expands the Autobots and Decepticons' home world and a heaping dose of action. But for many fans, the biggest new aspect of the game is easily the addition of Grimlock to the roster, the powerful Dinobot leader who can easily turn the tide in the Autobots' favor.

In a new gameplay trailer, Matt Tieger, game director at High Moon Studios (the development team behind "Fall of Cybertron"), explains the involvement of Grimlock "War's" storyline, and what exactly players can do with him in the game. One of the main differences gamers should take note of is that he doesn't carry a gun in the game like his fellow Autobots. Instead, Grimlock's "weapon" of choice is a dynamic melee system, in which he can pound enemies into scrap with punches and kicks, a form of combat highlighted in the trailer when he puts little Insecticons in their place by squashing them flat.

As he attacks, Grimlock builds up energy in a rage meter, which is located on the bottom right of the screen. Once the meter is full, Grimlock can commence transformation into the powerful "space T-Rex" form, as Tieger describes it. Here, the already-powerful Transformer has a whole new set of attacks at his arsenal, including a massive bite that can snap enemies in half, a huge tail swing and, most importantly, a flame throwing capability that fries Decepticons to a crisp.

Tieger also hints that other Dinobots could play a bigger role in the game. Indeed, we see bits and pieces of Grimlock's friends throughout the trailer, including a trapped Snarl and the pterodactyl Swoop, who does a quick fly-by with several Insecticons in pursuit. More footage will be coming later in the month, hopefully showing them in action alongside their leader.

IGN Presents Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Escalation Mode (including the new loot and upgrade mechanics.)

There maybe no Co-Op, but I'm still happy as hell that Escalation Mode has been confirmed through a more direct and presentable announcement and video. It is back!

What I learned from the video ^

-we have more use for the "loot"
-we can upgrade the weapons we buy or currently have with more powerful boosts and defensives
-we can buy traps like turrets that have the firepower to nearly wipe out a entire wave on its own
-Among one of the newly added weaponry, we can buy laser shields, and fire walls, and probably much, much more depending on what's added.
-we still have 15 waves to tear through (Thank god! Although I was hoping for a bit more waves, but 15 is fine)
-It seems that we might be facing against some larger foes than in WFC
-Everything most seems like the chaotic Escalation Mode from WFC, but a lot more chaotic, and much more expanded.

I can't wait for this game!

Alright folks!

The demo is currently available on Xbox Live for the 360, and everyone with a PS3 will have to wait until the store updates itself later on today. It might be soon since it has been updating itself a lot early from the last few weeks. So look out for it!

Played the both demo levels, they rocked.

Played some multiplayer, it's a vast improvement over WFC, customization and all.

Im downloading the Demo now. I have really high hopes for this!

EDIT: Played the demo. It definetly lived up to my expectations! The multiplayer is a ton of fun. If this is just the demo, imagine what the full game is like!

Ugh. Still downloading. Iffy Internet connection is getting irritating.

Finally got it, and played through the 'Bee level. It was pretty awesome. The graphics were impressive (even moreso than the original's), the music was awesome, and the gameplay is so smooth and polished.

I'm glad, you guys see it better than WFC, but to me WFC multiplayer is tons of better. They took out so much stuff in what made the game awesome.

...No new posts since release day? Damn.

Anyway, picked this up a couple days ago. Beat the Campaign yesterday afternoon. Playing as Grimlock was utterly glorious, especially the very end of his chapter. Cliffjumper's chapter was a blast too.

Played some online last night and today, and it's fun. Maybe I'm rusty or something, but it seems like the Infiltrator class got nerfed quite a bit since WFC. I used to kick all sorts of ass as the Scout in WFC, but now I'm having trouble just breaking even with the kill/death ratio as an Infiltrator. I realize part of that is because I'm low level and haven't gotten all the upgrades yet, but what I'm seeing that's unlockable for it isn't very much. Where's my stealth attack bonuses? I'd rather have stuff like that than the weapon upgrades.

Don't get me wrong, it's still good. It'll just take some getting used to, I guess. The customization in particular is a VERY welcome improvement, even though I'm a bit disappointed with the restrictive color choices.

I beat the game the day it came out, tis a fun game. Playing as Grimlock and Bruticus was fun as hell. Haven't really messed with Escalation, which has kinda shocked me. I think I prefer WFC's multiplayer over FFC's. I can't wait for the Dinobot DLC though. That's gonna be fun. XD
