New Vegas is a great game, but I'll stick with Fallout 3 until all the glitches have been fixed for good.

Hm well if it makes you feel better I only crashed like once my whole time exploring Big Mountain.

You mean Black Mountain? Or is that something in the DLC?

I blame the patches to be perfectly honest. I was reading on Bethesda's forum the other day where numerous people where reporting that the most recent patch just created a whole new slew of problems.

So who IS this Ulysses guy anyway? Aside from the obvious, what happens to him in the DLC?

(I sold my New Vegas since it was barely playable anymore)

I'm really gonna have to playthrough it on another file to get the whole story togethor, but...

*SPOILERS*

He was the original Courier Six that turned down the job. And he apparently works for Caesar and plans to launch nuclear missiles, sparking a second nuclear armageddon. He also blames YOU for what happened to the Divide because you delivered the package that caused the mass destruction, unaware of what it was. In the end it becomes a showdown between the two Couriers.

*END SPOILERS*

That's a short simple version. I'm sure if you want a much more exact story you could check the Fallout Wiki.

Has anyone heard if there's going to be a GOTY or similar thing to that that'll include all the DLC? I haven't gotten the game yet because I got screwed with Fallout 3 by buying all the DLC separtely then they went and released that GOTY edition for like $50.

Okay, just posting with a pointless question, but, has anyone ever gotten a weapon and given them a personal name? I'm not talking a unique weapon, I mean they got a standard weapon and liked it so much they decided to name it? An example is, while going through the Divide, I picked up a Riot Shotgun. Upon discovering how awesome it was (IMHO, at least) I christened the weapon Scatterbrain, due to the fact that, when close enough, it scatters brains.

Okay. This whole forum has been nothing but talking about New Vegas being a letdown. WTF? In my opinion it was way better than FO3 because longer gameplay and better weapons like Oh Baby, Euclids c finder, Lucky, That Gun, Maria, Anabelle, and my personal favorite the q-35 plasma modulator. Seiriously. Its not a bad game. It could be better but it is still pretty boss.

Its not a bad game, not at all. It's just that it's plagued with so many glitches that make it almost unplayable.

Last time I played, my game was so messed up that I couldnt take two steps foreward without it crashing. Certain areas of the map where also prone to this, and all of them happened to be areas that I frequented.

I tried starting a new game and I got locked inside the Brotherhood of Steel bunker, saying that I needed a key to get out. Thats never happened before. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I sold New Vegas a week later. It was a tough choice, but Im not going to keep a game that's barely functional, no matter how fun it was to play.

Do you have capabilities to update the game either Xbox Live or PSN? If not then that's why the game is broken for you still you haven't been able to get the patches that fix the bugs.

I haven't played the game yet but I plan on picking up the version that comes out in Feb with all the DLC.

I don't know as I don't have the game but when I borrowed it from my brother in law I didn't have any game breaking glitches like you had. You might just want to get the Ultimate Edition due out in Febuary that comes with all the DLC for $50.

Personally I think New Vegas is a boss game because of the awesome locations

Location wise, its nice that they brought us back to the West Coast like in Fallout 1 & 2. However to be honest it didnt have that "Fallout" feel to it. Probably because society was reemerging such as Ceaser's legion and the NCR which I thought ruined the whole "post apocalyptic" thing it's supposed to have. The only really cool location was The Big Empty and The Divide. Which is sad since they're both from the DLC. The main map has no real fun locations to visit...it's New Vegas and thats pretty much it.
