Oh please. You're really still holding on to 2012? Really? Really??
2011 will be over in 3 months. 2012's movie release schedule is booked solid. There's no room for Godzilla. 2014 (or possibly 2013) is far, far more likely at this point than 2012. Anyone supporting the 2012 release date has got to come to grips with reality and face the fact that odds don't favor it. At all. "LP has yet to release anything official"...so we have to assume 2012 is still valid?
How does that make any sense? I think that's honestly a clear indication that this thing is far from being on track for 2012. That and, you know, every major movie coming out next year has a release date.

Godzilla is not Gareth Edwards' top priority.
Regardless, I'll go retitle the thread

Exactly. Why misinform?

Wait your saying Bob Eggleton has actually seen designs for LP's Godzilla?

Apparently so. Another recent thread (I believe the one entitled "The Look" or something to that effect) has a quote from him. This creature, which I don't like at all, looks similar to what he describes having seen.
"I saw one piece of concept art and they seemed to be going the direction of a Burning Godzilla...the spikes were all hot and on fire...All the concept art seems to show this thing that looks like Space Godzilla meets Burning Godzilla, a mountain of toxic waste and garbage with spikey things on it's arms, and burning back spikes."

This looks like Godzilla came from the sewer.

Because the concept of convenience is apparently lost on the higher ups.

You know what they say about monsters with big feet
