Yes they did. I met the suit actor.

Agreed with this, it's also on youtube somewhere.. I saw it a while ago i believe it was a suit actor for when they lured Zilla into the park for the 2nd time. There was a lot more suit's in G-98 an animatronics then people think. So suit's or not wont make a difference in the films quality.

This thread isn't about the Japanese films. It's about Legendary Pictures' American one.

No, this IS about the LP movie (which isn't coming out in 2012 btw). This entire thread and the subforum it's part of is only about the LP film.

Really? Huh, I really hadn't seen the difference. But then again, I haven't seen the movie in years, so that would make sense.

I haven't heard a clue if they said that or not, but it's possible that they may havemoved back the release date.

^Prepare to be infuriated, then. It's not coming out in 2012, seeing how the script isn't even finished...

Word of advice. Unless given an official source take everything you hear with a grain of salt.

No official word yet...

But if you see rain clouds coming your way, chances are you know you're in for a storm.

In other words... if the script isn't even done at this point.. I wouldn't expect a 2012 release.

Well, if it did come out next year, it probably wouldn't be so great due to how short a time it would have been made. So yeah, your not gonna be happy ;)

I believe that the part in GINO where it bites the truck and shakes it in the air is at least partially an animatronic effect, the truck a well placed miniature, right down to the teeth punching through the metal. The inside of the mouth where Mathew Broderick shocks Zilla with the cable was probably a practical effect too. Then there is the part where the giant claws cut through the hull (and some of the crew?) of the Japanese ship at the beginning. I'm sure that was not CGI as well. there was the part where Zilla's tail digs into the building above the soldiers on the building, raining debris down on them before Zilla enters the park, I think. Plus, a lot of the Zilla babies were puppets as well.

What scene in the movie used that suit?

Bloody-disgusting just stated a RUMOR only that one of the websites knows the look of Legendary Pictures Godzilla..

Here is what the article states blow :

First, website Infamous Kidd has an unconfirmed story claiming to know the new look of Godzilla, which is to be directed by Monsters' Gareth Edwards. The site reports that Hector A. Arce, a creature/fantasy sculptor, is part of the design team for Legendary's film. I'd take it as a grain of salt, but they also claim Warners reboot will also feature Godzilla as a man in a rubber suit, with the head controlled by animatronics, and any touch-ups needed for the final film will then fall upon CGI. Grain. Of. Salt. Check out the what they're supposedly basing it off of inside.

I claim it as fake, but it's something.. even posted a design which is one we have all seen before would be awesome if they did something like it though.

I've seen that statue years ago on google (and I think I saw it in the "Godzilla: The look" thread). Its obviosly fake.

Well to be fair he didn't say that was the design at all or have anything to do with the model shown but did imply that the design would be something ''close'' to that.... They may have sources we don't know.. maybe it's just wishful thinking.

So if it's anything even remotely close to that, I'd be more then pleased.. Once again i will take this with a grain of salt but it would be nice to know Legendary is working on Godzilla's design at this time. Gives me some hope that news is coming at the NY Comic Con this month.
