Living Corpse wrote:Godzilla vs Mothra 92 might work too. I know a lot of you guys don't think highly of that film but you gotta admit thew volcano scene puts the one in Biollante to shame and it and the armies ASTOL-MB93 attacks failing give off a good sense of Godzilla's power.

1. Gena had gotten a bit freaked out when seeing Godzilla's spines glowing in a haunting display as he moved through the darkness of the sea at the beginning of the film. The lights were off, and she wanted them on, but I made her stay put lol.
2. During the movie Gena thought I would pay "special attention" to Yuri(I'm not going to lie, Yuri is kinda good looking) every time she came on screen, and would punch me in the shoulder hard. I kept asking her why she hit me, and she couldn't give me an answer.
3. When she first saw Baragon completely, she thought he looked cute like a puppy and wanted to keep him. Must be the ears or something.
10. Near the end of the movie, when Godzilla was about to finish off the main human characters with his atomic ray, Gena sighed and looked at me, about to say that I was right. Until Yuri's dad drilled through Godzilla's wound and started to hurt his self with his own power. Gena's face was bright and lively like before, then started to yell: "Mankind is gonna **** this dinosaur in the ass hard! I told you so!"
(Although I know that in the film, Mankind had won, Gena's thought process in monster films might be simple. If the monster is killed completely, man has won. If the monster is beaten but still alive, man has lost. This is what I think, but it might actually be correct IMO)
Gena then asked if the Japanese Godzilla could ever be killed, I said that he can be defeated now and then, but never killed. After that, she wanted to know more about the Japanese Godzilla and wanted to watch more films.
I guess she's starting to take a interest in the Japanese Godzilla.

And I honestly wanted to just forget the film completely. I understand that there are species out there that reproduce asexually, so in a way it made sense from a realistic and scientific point of view. But that just wasn't right at all.

That's what I hate most about the American Godzilla. I know for some it's earlier in the movie but for me it's that the moment where it stops being about Godzilla and there's no turning back.
Tohosaurus wrote:GMK was an excellent film to introduce her to the original Godzilla. It's a good movie, has good effects, pure entertainment along the way too. Being contemporary is a bonus.
ゴジラ wrote:Living Corpse, I believe that Gena might become a Mothra fan in the long run due to her mostly cheering for Mothra in GMK. Infact, that was the only monster she cheered for.
