Anyway, he doesn't want to listen to what I have to say, but my point still stands. Don't wait for some organized movement. If you really want this on DVD just send letters. Don't do petitions, just get some letters out.

This is why the ignore feature fails. Responding to my posts - even if you can't see them - isn't ignoring me.

Nothing about my last few posts are negative. You want this on DVD? Send letters. Don't wait for some big movement to start. Don't collect signatures. Just get letters out and in the meantime convince others to do that same. I'm not saying it will definitely work. But its probably the most productive thing to do.

I think 18 people signed up, maybe 20. I know a few of guys on Youtube jumped at the chance as soon as I told them.

Guys, just send letters. This doesn't have to be done at the exact same time. You want this on DVD? Get your letters out. Spamming Media Blasters mailboxes with similar letters all at the exact same time (IMHO) would probably be nowhere near as effective as letters coming in, one by one, during an extended period of time. Letters coming in, one by one, is probably a lot harder to ignore than something that reeks of an organized fan movement among a small group of people on a message board. If I worked at a company like Media Blasters or Shout Factory and one day my mailbox suddenly burst with 20-30 letters all asking the same thing all I'd think is that it was the result of a small, concentrated fan movement, nothing worth buying licensing rights and releasing DVDs. But if I was slowly receiving letters, one at a time, throughout the course of several months I'd probably be a lot more inclined to believe that there was a much larger group of people out there who wanted this on DVD, which would justify a DVD release.

LC won't see this. But to everyone else who wants to on DVD: don't wait. Just get your letters out. This doesn't have to be as organized as everyone is making it out to be. Get the word out to others and get letters out.

I just PM'd the administrator for permission, and he's usually around two or three times a day. If I ever get on at KP, I'll try it there too.

@ Legion, question: There's only about twenty people "signed" up. Wouldn't it be better if we got more people before we started sending letters? If the receive twenty letters over a two-week span, and then don't receive any for another month, it seems to me they'll forget about it. I'm not a business man, but that's the way I looked at it.

Good point. Just send 'em at some point of you ask me. No need for all the specific "do it now." I mean, if we were to set a date, I'd probably go with it, but what therealmccoy and Legion said makes some sense to me.

The thing of it is, there absolutely HAS to be more people interested. Somebody will be more inclined to take part in this of their own free will if they see that thirty or forty people are doing it. The only people doing it right now, to my knowledge, are the people participating in this discussion. Well, I just kind of drifted in here. Maybe others will, as well. But people aren't going to waste their time with it if nobody's doing it. And Shout! or Media Blasters aren't going to look at twenty letters and take us seriously.

Also, I think the title of this thread should be changed to suggest this is what we're trying to accomplish. Either that or make a completely brand new one and start over from scratch.

I totally agree with Legion here. Studios told me that petitions are usually ignored, and sending 20 (or more) letters in a short amount of time won't do much better. The way Legion suggested would be much more effective than what you're trying to do.

This organized fan movement to bond together as a mighty legion (no pun intended) of dedicated fans who want Zone Fighter on DVD is a cute idea, but it's not really going to do anything. Like I've been saying, if YOU want to see this series get a US release just stop worrying about combining efforts and just send a letter to a companies you think are most likely to be interested in this. Tell others to do the same, but worrying about how many people you've collected to do this in some mass movement is pointless.

Maybe LC should take me off his ignore list. Hey, someone quote this. LOL
