Ok... I am watching it now.

What is up with future earth? What exactly happened?

Why are there only 4 members allowed per family?

Why did they exactly choose to go back to the Dinosaur era?

i am currently at the part where they first enter their new house and the son is bitching about his dad being in jail for the last 2 years... so if these are answered for me, just let me know.

1. The human race happened. That's all you need to know.

2. Not enough things to go around.

3. They didn't choose. The anomaly (yes, I'm calling it that) was already fixated on that particular time period when it was discovered. And I'm sure people would rather risk being chased by a Carnotaurus than die slowly of intense air pollution

Ah, thanks!

I am liking it alot so far. The writings on the rocks seems like it will turn out to be something interesting.

I'm calling it now... Aliens.

^Or First People. Or the whole separate timeline deal the sister talked about was made up by the Powers-That-Be behind the Terra Nova Program, and Taylor's son was figured it out,and the equations prove that it's the same timeline they arrived in, and are changing the future. :freak:

I sat down and watched the premiere encore and it was actually VERY enjoyable...

..and it wont last 2 seasons. It's Land of the Lost meets Avatar with a dash of Jurassic Park. I actually LIKE IT but it'll fall the family black hole.

I too am looking forward to the next episode.

This was my suspicion. When they said "Those who control the past, control the Future." or something like that I was like "Hmmmm...."

I enjoyed the premiere. Had a few moments, especially around the end that bordered on being too corny for my tastes, but liked it and I liked the dinosaurs.

it was fun. But if the plot wasn't "OMG DINOSAURS RAWR". It'd be freaking boring as hang as the acting and the characters are weak.

Episode 2.

Wow, that was...Fairly mediocre. More nauseating melodrama, CGI for the Pterosaurs looked awful and filler on Episode 2? Seriously?

Episode two, as Biollante said, was pretty simple and not especially interesting. Seemed a little passe if you ask me.

Episode 2 was boring.... I was more interested in seeing the mom get naked then seeing the Dinosaur's.. which is a bad sign for a show like this. The Pterosaurs looked terrible esp the baby that was on the floor..

Still hope it picks up more, but my hopes for this series making it to season 2 just dropped quite a bit.

Second episodes usually aren't very good, but this was pretty decent. And the CGI isn't going to be amazing; Chris talked about why that is already. It just won't happen, and never has happened.

Second episode was okay, but the whole 'swarm of small pterosaurs' seemed straight out of Primeval. I didn't think they looked all that bad though.

That's only because it was a swarm of small pterosaurs. The motivation for these pterosaurs was completely different and more realistic.

And seriously, y'all are knocking on TV show CGI? I've seen more sense coming from String Theory.

As has been said already, this episode wasn't very exciting, but it held my attention, and I was entertained. That's all I really care about for this show. It doesn't look like multiple-season material right now, but it's only been two episodes.

Indeed. Especially considering it really doesn't look THAT bad in the first place. It's certainly not worse than anything Asylum spits out, so I don't know why you guys are bitching so much.

The show's CGI is pretty good, if you ask me.
Episode 2 was good, although that one pterosaur took its sweet time to attack the girl.
And how on earth did the ptero knock out the soldier??

Eh, still kinda bugged me. I would say they should have been made bigger or something, I guess that would catapult them from minor/moderate threat to major trouble.

To be honest, I never liked the idea of pterosaurs being threats in the first place. They're cool and all, but I just can't buy them being so dangerous. Not really built for big prey.
